01.02.2022 Not everything we powder coat is big and industrial. We cater for domestic projects such this for example. Here we have a set of antique scales that old a lot of sentiment to the client. Therefore care had to be taken through every process, from disassembly, blasting, pre-treatment, powder coating and re-assembly

25.01.2022 So, as so many people are staying indoors during these concerning times, watching Netflix, Stan and scouring the internet for whatever takes your fancy, thought we would start posting a few recent jobs/projects to vary peoples interest and talk a little about what’s involved in them. Some will be simple, some complex, some of you will go "so what" some of you will go "Wow". We’ll start over the next few days.

24.01.2022 Further to the last post, here is the first of a few jobs to be posted which will illustrate the kind of work we undertake. We'll try and cover a couple of jobs of all the coatings we undertake from Blasting, Powder Coating, Cerakote Firearms coatings, Cerakote High Temp coatings, Hydrographics, Raptor protective coatings and chroming and keep it simple. This first post outlines what was involved in re-coating a scissor lift where the client wanted to address the issue of cor...rosion to extend the life of the plant. The first few photos illustrate the severity and depth of the rust which would eventually eat so deep into the metal and render the machinery unsafe. Before blasting begins the blast media is tested for chloride, nitrate, sulphate and other contaminates...pretty pointless blasting something with contaminated garnet. The scissor lift was blasted to ensure it was free of any surface contaminates, grease or grime, pretreated prior to the application of a zinc rich primer coating for additional protection against corrosion. Once cured, each item of the s/lift then received a powder primer, placed in the oven and part cured. The items when cool, then received top coats and went through their full curing cycle in the oven. This process ensures the primer and top coats melt down together and cross hatch, forming a super tough finish.

Ben, a well seasoned dirt kart competitor of some 22 years, and winner of many championships, knows exactly what the sport needs and what new technology is required to compete against the existing karts on the market. The new range of Bullet Karts are manufactured in Naracoorte and engineered for the junior classes t...hrough to the big boys in the 125cc class The research and development stage is well and truly over with Bradley Ludwig (a previous 'test pilot') proved the karts technical ability finishing a strong 2nd, in a field of 15 in the KT Medium class over the two day meeting at Tatiara. Majestic Coatings Australia looks forward to continuing the partnership with Bullet Karts, having been powder coating the entire range of Bullet Karts right from the 'covert days' of those sneaky beaky test machines. 17.01.2022 HERE THEY ARE!! Team Majestic 2014. Grant HIGGINS, Matty KAHL and Jake MAILLEY. The guys chose the frames as Super Chrome II with a lollipop red top coat and the wheels are Black Metallic I. More photos to be uploaded. Matty will be racing today with Grant and Jake racing next month.

14.01.2022 Just a few days to go before the identity of the three 2014 team drivers are revealed, along with the team colours. Get ready to check out the custom colours of their karts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10.01.2022 Time to get back with FB. Firstly we continue to put back in the community and we have recently sponsored two junior basketball teams, along with sponsoring the Div 1, U18 Boys in last weekends tornament last weekend. Congratulations to Naracoorte, fantastic effort. While we're getting back into FB we may as well make some amendments as we have changed the name of the business to Majestic Coatings Australia to reflect the broad range of coatings we now undertake. We are factory trained applicators of Cerakote Firearms coatings, Cerakote High Temperature Coatings and Prismatic Powders. So as well as powder coating and ceramic coatings we offer sand blasting, cosimchrome and hydrographics.

03.01.2022 So sand blasting when its really hot can sometimes be a chore (Photo1}. Powder coating in heat can also be testing (Photo 2). But when you see the end result and you get appreciated like this...... well, it makes it all worth it! (Photo 3) Once again its so good to be working with such great engineering talent we have in Naracoorte.
