24.01.2022 After nearly 5 years pouring love, sweat and glitter into MAKE we have decided that it is time to take a step back. Running a small (micro!) business is hard. Anyone who has ever run their own business knows that it doesn’t stop when you go home or a class finishes. There is always something that needs doing and finding that work/life balance is really tricky. We are so thankful to have had the support and encouragement of our community so that we could offer authentic and f...un ART experiences to sooooo many children and their families. 4 classes and 3 birthday parties each week is certainly a lot of little makers! So if you have been to a class, had a party, shared a post or told a friend about our little business we humbly thank you x We have been so very privileged to share this journey with you all, and it has been an immense joy to get to know you and your children over these years. We couldn’t be more proud of what we have managed to achieve in this time and for all the fun we have shared. So in saying all of that, this Term will be our last at MAKE. We don't have any immediate plans for what the future holds for each of us but it will definitely include ALL the glitter and some needed TLC with our families.

It’s Emily here, I just thought I’d check in to let you know about some new arty fun I’ve got going on Boxful of Art is all about nurturing your inner artist and providing fun creative opportunities in a box, delivered to your door, for (almost!) all ages. The launch Boxful includes ten video lessons and all the materials you need to do them at your own pace, in your own way (UPDATE: there’s only one left!). 16.01.2022 It was with many tears and SO much love that we finished up our last classes at MAKE today. We can’t believe how fortunate we are to have shared so many fun, creative experiences with so many little MAKE-rs and their families. You tell us how much joy we’ve brought your little artists, but really it has been US feeling all the joy. We want to sincerely thank each and every one of you from the bottom of our sparkly hearts for joining us on this MAKE adventure, we are not quite... sure what the future holds yet, but it will be colourful, we just know it! Merry Christmas everyone, we hope you have a wonderful festive season and enjoy plenty of relaxing and fun times with your families. See you in the glitter soup! 16.01.2022 We have some shelves in the studio. Shelves we’ve covered with rainbow curtains to hide all our mixed media, open studio materials. And every week our after school artists are BURSTING with suspense about what is stashed behind those curtains. They sneak peeks, they poke about and they BEG us to be able to use the treasures we have hidden (stored) there. So this week we pulled back those curtains and let them LAUNCH into making whatever they WANTED!... And it was #theactualbest. There are SO MANY treasures to be had. We’ve got loads of art supplies, craft materials, classroom furniture and lots of other things too numerous to list. We can colour in the Town Hall clock, the front window of Griffin Burger, all the cakes at Kittelty's, the floor of Central Square and those massive indoor plants in the Norwich Plaza in the Bridge Mall Ballarat (#plantgoals btw) It’ll be AMAZING....
