25.01.2022 It was a hot day to kick off term 4. No concerns over the energy levels though, and a sneak peak at our movie from Term 3. We do it all again next Thursday. Sing! Act! Dance! at Make Believe Balmain

21.01.2022 After the warm up games we continued working on our 3 wishes. We practiced our rthym, counting and moving at the same time, and discovered how our imaginary instruments sounded. More fun next Thursday.

20.01.2022 Rehearsals are underway for our Term 4 performance. Our Make Belivers have contributed their ideas to the rap and the script and are doing such a great job remembering their lines and positions. Just the props to make now.

17.01.2022 Term 3, class 4. Another talent coming through as our Make Believers set their artistic skills on drawing scenery.

17.01.2022 Registration for Term 4 is now open for kids in years 1-8. Thursdays afterschool. Pick up available from 3 schools in Balmain. Join us for the final term of the year. 09.01.2022 Final rehearsals were last week. All props finished. Just the dance to practice. With no parent performance allowed this term, we will start recording the scenes this week.

06.01.2022 Happy Halloween. A summary of our class 3 / Halloween special = monster movement; shaking bones; casting spells and magical treats.

04.01.2022 That’s a wrap for our rap. Not easy to keep concentrating in 30’ heat. Well done everyone. Filming continues next week for our dance and drama scenes.

03.01.2022 We had a musical start to the class, singing Happy Birthday to Eloise and playing musical statues. The rthymn continued, trying to master some tongue twisters. Term 3 Make Believers were given a sneak preview of our movie from Term 2. They spent some thought decided what 3 wishes they would make if they let the Genie out of the magic lamp. There were a range of wishes from being a Lego Master to solving hunger and many wishes for a cure to Covid. Enjoy our summary video of Class 2, Term 3.

03.01.2022 Blessed again with a lovely bunch of kids. A lively first class. We learnt names and got to know each other through team buiding games. We learnt our theme for this term and read the story. It was positive to see the different uniforms mingling throughout the room, and not sticking to their school groups; experienced Make Believers helping the new ones and everyone joining in.

03.01.2022 Enjoy our Term 3 performance from our Balmain Make Believers. Aladdin and the Three Wishes. Our Make Believers were asked what 3 wishes they would wish for. The answers were very interesting and ranged from sweets to having their own bedroom, from a helicopter to ending world hunger. We brainstormed a few of these and the 3 wishes you see in the performance are the ones the Make Believers settled on to tell a story. A big well done to everyone for learning their lines and... working so well together for our first after school class. Thank you to our Drama Teacher, Producer and Video Editor Aysha, to our Singing Teacher Jess and our Welfare Support Vara and Freya. A great team effort to launch our new class with happy faces each week. Term 4 is now underway. Enjoy the show!
