25.01.2022 Are you a young aspiring mechanic. Mako Services will be employing an apprentice mechanic later this year and would like to start discussions with candidates. Requirements for the position: Completion of year 12 Current drivers license Willing to do block release at TAFE (to gain cert 3 in engineering - plant mechanic) in Perth 2-3 times per year. Each block release is a few weeks.... As the role is an apprenticeship we are not expecting any significant experience prior to starting. Wages will be competitive and is dependent on skills and experience.

23.01.2022 Haha. Good effort

23.01.2022 Unfortunately holidays are now over, we've got to get back into the swing of things and keep moving forward. Most of our staff have enjoyed a bit of a break over the last couple months after a busy wine season. The grapes are all off, the wineries are clean, and now its our turn to get around and make sure that the forklifts are serviced and ready to make it though until next year. Our tractor trailer is done, and ready for hire. Keep an eye out of some photos coming through in the next couple days. And finally with this rain coming in, if your earth moving equipment is parked up for a couple days, it's the perfect opportunity to book in that service.

23.01.2022 Welcome to the Facebook page of Mako. We'll try and keep the page reasonably up to date with some new things that are going on in our world of forklifts

20.01.2022 You should be able to see us coming now. Our new van is set up and ready to hit the highway. Very similar to our previous van setup with some minor improvements. The yellow is a new concept I'm trying.

18.01.2022 A brand new 2.5T Toyota forklift to be delivered to a winery tomorrow morning. Note the 5 valves, perfect to allow a rotator to be fitted, still clamp the bins and still retain side shift. Speak to us if you have a different request, it would be very rare we couldn't find a viable solution

10.01.2022 We often get comments by our suppliers that we are so lucky to live in a beautiful part of the state. It's days like to day with the sun out, our vans driving around the south west that we truly do get to appreciate where we live. We genuinely love the south west of WA, and this is the main reason most of our staff continue to work for us. Our staff all have families that have had the opportunity to grow up in the south west. You will find our staff members out in this great ...community on the weekend whether it be at kids sports, mountain bike trails, rock climbing, bush walking, firefighting or just simply in town doing some shopping and having a coffee. Our staff integrating in the local community keeps them wanting to live in this great place. How many places can you live in the world with so much natural beauty and still make a reasonable income? The photo with this post outlines why I love working in the south west. A customer recently needed his hire forklift collected from Pemberton. I figured it was a perfect opportunity to pack a bike and make the most of it. Its moments like these that we love our job!

05.01.2022 We've had a few changes here at Mako Services over the last couple months, with Merv finally retiring and enjoying some time on his boat with a fishing rod in hand. Peter and Mark are striving to keep the level of service up that our customers have come to expect of our business over the last 18 years. Other than that we have welcomed a new staff member which should help increase our coverage out on the road. We also finally finished our brand new tyre press, allowing us to n...ow press up to 20inch solid tyres. You may have also seen us advertising at our workshop that we do all hydraulic hoses and repairs. We have our hydraulic fittings up to a level now that we are happy to say that we can generally make up hydraulic hoses to suit most small earth moving equipment and all forklifts using our current stock. If you have a need for anything hydraulic, get in touch and we'll see what we can do. See more

04.01.2022 Did you know that we can provide a lot more than forklifts. We provide an extensive range of new industrial equipment. This scissor lift was recently delivered to a leading Margaret River Winery for long term hire. The Kobelco excavator will be on display at Mako Services for customers to have the ability to sit in the seat and see what the machine feels like to operate. Come and see us for all your industrial equipment needs.
