13.01.2022 Happy Easter Everyone - hope you are all keeping safe! It's that time of year again, and it's important we keep you all informed in preparation for Good Friday. This year is a little different for obvious reasons, so we want to let you know how we are going to manage our busiest day of the year: 1. Gluten Free orders will only be available until 4pm... 2. Social Distancing practices will apply. We are placing markers on floor and ask that all customers wait for their food in cars or outside. Maximum of 3 people in the shop at any time. 3. We will be maintaining all online delivery services- Uber eats and Menu Log. 4. Patience is essential as we are expecting delays for in person, phone and online orders, although we will do our very best to meet all orders in a timely matter. 5. Business as usual on Saturday and Sunday

10.01.2022 To our valued customers- We will be open and trading as per usual. Takeaway and deliveries only. When possible please phone your order ahead of time and come in to pick up so we can minimise the amount of people in the shop at any given time to adhere to the strict social distancing rules now in place. Our promise to you... -We have and will continue to increase our cleaning frequencies in store -hand sanitiser used after each transaction and available to our valued customers -Any team members displaying flu like symptoms have been asked to refrain from coming into work regardless if it’s just a cold. We hope our customers will do the same and stay home if your not feeling well- Ubereats and Menulog available from 10am-8.45pm everyday (expect Monday’s) NOW offering contactless delivery. We thankyou for your support and patience throughout these somewhat uncertain times. We hope you and your family are all well and safe. Let’s flatten the curve together

04.01.2022 Dear Customers, Thank you for your patience, we understand the wait times are longer than expected. We are experiencing high traffic due to the unprecedented times we are facing. We are doing our very best to serve our customers and ask that you please be mindful and courteous. ... We're all in this together. Stay safe. The team at Mako’s

04.01.2022 About last night Firstly a super special thank you to our unbelievable staff, without you it would have been impossible. To our customer base, thank you for your loyalty and thank you for your patience. As you know, we try to be completely transparent because we treat you all like an extention of our own family so we like to keep it real. We realise we are always learning and strive for continual improvement. Our learnings from last night:... 1. Last night was the first Good Friday in 28 years we have had online delivery services (the current climate - COVID-19, isolation etc) and to be honest, on Good Friday it will probably be the last time we will allow it. It simply slowed us down for phone orders and shop orders. 2. Delivery drivers let us down, the services did not flow and the orders took up too much unnecessary space in the bain marie causing unnecessary delays as third parties are introduced. 3. As a result, we threw out approximately $1000 worth of food because of cancelled deliveries or orders not picked up. 4. Due to the sheer volume of timed phone orders, there were at least an hour wait on top of the time given. Moving forward we will be removing this, as it sets us up for failure and gives an unrealistic expectation for the customer. We run our shop like a well oiled machine and it can feel completely defeating when it doesn't, especially on such a busy and important day for all of us. We sincerely apologise for the delays, and any errors that may have occurred, we truly tried our best in the circumstances. We wish you a Happy Easter from our family to yours. Much Love Captain Makos Management
