22.01.2022 Today we celebrated Diane Bayley's life. In 1987, Diane and her husband Ron had the idea to transform the dusty Mt Victoria Public Hall into Mount Vic Flicks! It was no small task and a financial gamble for them. With a lot of elbow grease, resourcefulness and support from locals they made it work and created something truly special. It was lovely to have Diane's family and friends gather here at the cinema today, on her birthday. It was stories, songs, choctops and sandwiche...s all round (Diane's signature intermission fare) and we watched her favourite film, Red Dog. When you next visit us and stare at the big screen curtains in anticipation for the film to start, think of Diane.
