Good leaders know we must feel, listen, and trust our intuition to know that we are heading in the right direction! . . Dale is a proud Fijian woman who joyfully volunteers her time serving her family and community. Some of Dale’s volunteer roles include, Sunday school teacher at her local church, dance member in the Matana Fijian Dance Group and a Volunteer for the University of Queensland, Public Health Department. Dale is also passionate about learning and education, which... influenced her decision to embark on the journey of studying a Bachelor of Social Work degree, at Queensland University of Technology. 10.01.2022 At MANA, we feel there is much truth in the saying you can’t be what you can’t see. Our mission has been to use a multitude of platforms to share Pacific success stories through mentoring, training, podcasts, business, etc. During COVID, we were all forced to isolate. ... Isolation goes against who we are as relationship-centred Pasifika peoples. It also made it harder for us to continue to share success stories and inspire our youth. To counter the isolation, we recruited some of the top Pasifika talent Brisbane has to offer, and asked them to provide connectionand mentorship to other young people. The mentors are Pasifika young people, but they are also one/many/all of the following: business owners creatives graduates community advocates young leaders A large part of their role is to share their stories. Fantasha is a seasoned youth mentor and leader, possessing a wide range of skills in coordinating and managing various youth mentoring programs and youth events across Brisbane and Sydney. Fantasha is also an avid learner, currently studying her Bachelor of Nursing degree at the Queensland University of Technology. Whilst studying at QUT, Fantasha continue...s to ‘give back’ as a mentor in the ONENESIA Mentoring program.
