25.01.2022 Manifesting requires knowing what you want to create in your life. It is something that we put into our physical reality through thoughts, feelings and beliefs.... AND a VISION MANDALA is a great way for that to happen guided by your intuition and creative inner voice. Create your hearts desire using collage to record your thoughts, dreams, aspirations and wishes into something visible/tangible. Take the first step into making them a reality. It can be an indicator of good, evil, protection, wisd...om, knowledge, secrecy and mystery. To some it represents the gateway of the soul. The eye can be representative of divine watchfulness, of the Supreme Being taking care of the entire universe ever alert and watchful over mankind. Symbolism in mandalas is an important aspect of unraveling what we create. Doug Morphed eye mandala has a meaning specific to him, and like most symbols has layers of meaning. 23.01.2022 Ether - the emptiness between matter and the space in which everything happens. It is the field that is simultaneously the source of all matter and the space in which it exists. WOW! In the pattern of the universe, unlike the other four fixed elements which have a lineal pattern, ether has a circular pattern. Known as the mandala of the universe Ether is all pervading. Ether is the link between molecules. It is the spiritual 'glue' of existence. It is what holds everything... together. ELEMENTAL MANDALAS explores through discussions, demonstrations in art techniques, meditations, making mandalas and more on ZOOM. DATES: Thursday 13th August - Thursday 3rd September. In this course we begin to make sense of mandala structure and bring it into being via the fifth element, Ether - the emptiness between matter. The chief characteristic of ether is sound and the entire spectrum of vibration. It is consciousness. In life transitions it is the time and space between events. Seen as spirit energy in motion it is that divine intervention - the space between the spaces that eludes our logic but we can 'sense' it. In our hearts it is the space - ether - that accepts love. Holding space for someone in emotional pain or distress is creating a container/space for them to feel and 'be' that comes from the heart. Heart space is the communion between soul and heart. Ancient wisdom es...tablished that the world was a combination of Water, Fire, Earth, Air creating life, but, only with the mysterious fifth element, ‘spirit’ or 'ether'. Many forms of medicine, alchemy, astrology and Indian Ayurvedic Medicine are based on these elements and their energies which live within ourselves. They correlate to emotions, body types, illnesses, thinking styles, character types, and more. Maintaining a balance between the elements is advocated to ensure physical and psychological well being, and the mandala is the perfect place to combine/balance/realise/contain and harmonise the elements. 05.01.2022 More on understanding the elements: Invisible, the element air is an experience! Air affects us in many ways and on various levels. We cannot hold it and yet it carries vibrations bringing sounds to our ears, scents to our our nose, and temperatures to our body to feel. Air allows us to communicate with each other and our environment, both external and internal. We cannot survive for more than minutes without it. Psychologically air facilitates shifts in our emotional states.... Using Breathwork we can release blockages locked in our energy system. Relaxation breathing shifts inner anxiety to a state of calm. We can ‘blow off steam’ when angry and regulate our breath to maintain energy flows both physically and mentally. Spiritually the breath aids in meditation and the element of air is symbolic of that which is invisible - thoughts, vibrations and the Soul. Air can carry of the other primary elements :- water element falls from the sky in snow or rain fire element depends on oxygen to burn and is carried as a spark from a bonfire earth element as air picks up dust or sand moving vast amounts in dust storms. And symbolically the invisible element air is contained within a mandala carrying the other elements; the communicator; the releaser of energies; the rhythm of intake and release; the life within the art form.
