13.01.2022 Get excited, Welcome Week is nearly here!

11.01.2022 Residents frocked up for an evening of fine cello music, an inspiring guest speaker, delicious food, and fabulous conversation at our first Formal Dinner this year! Read about it here: https://www.mandelbaum.usyd.edu.au//formal-dinners-are-ba/

11.01.2022 FORMAL DINNER Last week, Mandelbaum residents gathered for an evening of fine dining, fancy dress and friendly conversation. The evening was themed in celebration of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, with some of our residents giving a presentation on the significance and traditions of the holiday. For many it was our first experience with the New Year, and we were all grateful for the chance to learn about this part of our friends’ culture. ... Also a special feature of the evening was our guest speaker, Kartik Kuna; Kartik is Mandelbaum alumni and a renowned singer/songwriter in the Sydney area. After hearing some of his words of wisdom, Mandelbaum was lucky enough to have Kartik perform for us his recently released single ‘Used to Crazy’ - give it a listen at the link below! https://fb.watch/4XzHu7s0cE/ Thank you so much to Kartik for his company and amazing entertainment, and to our Sinhalese and Tamil residents for making the night so special.

05.01.2022 THEME DINNER - ISRAEL In honour of Israel’s Independence Day (Yom Ha’atzmaut), Mandelbaum hosted an Israeli feast. Residents enjoyed Shawarma, Kebabs, Falafel, Pita, Cous cous and more dips than we could count, thanks to the efforts of our amazing chefs! Make sure to check out the awesome meal and dessert in the pics below

01.01.2022 Mandelbaum House opened its doors 25 years ago today! A special mention to our dedicated and passionate team who have worked here for a combined 59 years! Dimitrios joined our team two years ago and he is the friendly face and often first point of contact as our administrator.... Manjula, our hard-working housekeeper is a familiar face to most of our alumni as she has dedicated 23 years of service to our college- wow! Shana celebrates her sweet 16th year as Mandelbaum CEO and her vision has helped create the caring community of the college today. She attended the opening 25 years ago today as the Aujs USyd president and student representative on the Mandelbaum council. Naomi has a special milestone of 18 years at Mandelbaum. This is a significant number representing life in Judaism. She brings great wisdom and commitment to the various roles she has held over the years. We also recognise our dedicated chefs, former staff and wise & supportive council members who have and continue to be part of the Mandelbaum family.
