22.01.2022 Does your tap leak constantly as though it is always on even after you really give it a good tightening? This is due to a crack or a pit in your tap seat. What is a tap seat you ask? A tap seat is the surface that the jumper washer pushes down onto when you turn your tap off.... If you have a crack or a pit, then the washer can’t make a proper seal and allows water to flow through to your spout or shower head. In the picture is quite an extreme example of a pit. This was caused by a stone in the water line getting forced into the seat of the tap by the jumper washer creating a gaping hole which in turn allowed water to constantly run. Call us today to get your taps checked out so this doesn’t happen to you!!
