22.01.2022 Summer is only around the corner. Come and join in on the fun, December 6th. Have your boat blessed by Father Dennis at our Annual Blessing of the Fleet. Leaving the Mangles Bay jetty at 11am, led by Marine Rescue Rockingham. On arrival back at the Fishing club, best dressed boats and crew will be awarded prizes, kindly donated by Big Brews. ... Cook your own bbq, with meat packs available at only $6.50, salads will be provided. Please note, no water balloons. Now our boats are blessed, a family friendly fishing competition on the 12th December will take place. Bragging rights are on the line with the heaviest squid, sand whiting and king george whiting vying for prizes. Rustico chefs will be present on the day to cook your catch, to accompany chips and salads provided. But wait there is more, Kids Xmas party 13th December. A fun filled day for our next generation of little fishers. Please note this day is for members children and grand children.

Five of our metro FADs are being deployed as you read this post for the second year of the State-wide trial FADs program Complementing the Pe...rth Game Fishing Club's FADs - which went out yesterday - the Recfishwest FADs can be found out from the West End of Rotto and off the north metro. So, get set for another awesome summer of fast and furious pelagic action on the FADs...but wait there's more! In the next few weeks FADs will be going in off Albany and Cape Naturaliste - and for the first time off Rockingham and Gero! Watch this space! 16.01.2022 Members bar cards are now available to be collected from the bar today and tomorrow during opening hours. Cards will be activated for use as of the 1st November. We ask all members show patience during the following weeks as volunteer bar staff get familiar with the new system.

Jim has been a guiding force helping MBFC develop fishing competitions other clubs could only wish for. Jim's wisdom and knowledge of everything boating will be sadly missed by all of MBFC. RIP Jim

04.01.2022 Attention all members Annual General Meeting for 2020 has been called for the 24th October, registrations from 10am, meeting called to order at 11am. This is our opportunity to present the annual report to you the members. It is also a great opportunity for you the members, to present questions from the floor to the committee. This year our 4 executive positions -... President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer are all up for nomination, with the Vice President and Secretary roles a one year term. We also have Four committee positions to be filled, comprising of 2 x 2 year terms, and 2 x 1 year terms. Full details of the AGM, including nomination forms, have been emailed or posted to all members, or a copy can be found at the bar. Please ensure all nomination forms are placed in club letterbox, located inside clubrooms no later than close of business 9th October.
