24.01.2022 With the rain coming down outside, it doesn't feel like bushfire weather, but our fire season is really just around the corner. So we are ensuring we are trained and ready to assist in any fire suppression activities that might be needed in our district. We might not directly fight the fire on the end of a hose, but ensuring our waterbombers are refilled and ready to go, is one of the ways we provide support to our fellow emergency service partners during a bushfire emergency. A big thank you to the volunteers that gave up time on their Friday afternoon to take part. If you are interested in bushfire support and taking an active part in your community, then do please consider joining us on Monday evenings for training at the co-located emergency service building on Bath Street from 6.30pm or send us a PM if you have any questions.

24.01.2022 At training last night we worked on our casualty handling skills at the Manjimup Heritage Park. Communication, teamwork and planning skills all got a work out as we negotiated the tower and then play equipment all while ensuring our casualty was safely extricated and transferred. A lot of fun was had by all who attended.

20.01.2022 The cheer that erupted when we’d heard he was found, was heart-stopping and pure relief. Working side-by-side with members from near and far, along with WA Police, Volunteer Fire and Rescue, St John Ambulance, DFES staff and Bushfire Brigades - we are part of #oneteam. This is why we do what we do.
