That's what Australia’s top mental health official told a Senate hearing yesterday, talking about how COVID-19 has affected young people. Mental Health Commissioner Christine Morgan also spoke about a spike in self-harm and requests for mental health support, especially among young Victorians.... It's a stark reminder of the tough road ahead. Cases may be dropping, but trauma, distress and anxiety will linger for many. We need to make sure our recovery is about more than getting business booming and the economy roaring again. We must place individual and community wellbeing at the centre of our thinking, and make this a key measure of our recovery. If people don't recover, Victoria doesn't recover.
