12.01.2022 Vale Barney Wakes-Miller. Club members have been heartbroken to hear the devastating news of Barney Wakes-Millers death last weekend. Barney was a brilliant and talented young man, with a splendid future ahead of him, taken too soon. His familys connections to the Allambie area and Manly Allambie United FC are long and deep. They have many friends in the club and there are countless others in the club community offering their sympathy and support in this terrible time. We... send our collective, heartfelt love and best wishes to all the Wakes-Millers. Many MAUFC teams are choosing to wear black armbands or observe a minutes silence at games this weekend as a mark of respect and support for this wonderful family. 01.01.2022 Hi All, This week has seen the NSW Govt release some fresh guidelines and restrictions around minimising the risk of transmission for COVID-19. MWFA have sent a letter around to everyone, player and spectator, in the area. Below is a summary of what they have asked. Please read the following carefully. We need to take our responsibility around social distancing MORE seriously and take special note of the following five points: 1. Take all reasonable steps to limit people a...ttending junior games to ONE parent/carer 2. Take all reasonable steps to ensure that there are NO spectators at senior games. 3. If you are feeling sick or have any symptoms of illness you are NOT to attend games or training. 4. Players and officials who have visited Victoria are NOT permitted to play, train or attend matches for 14 days after leaving Victoria, and should get tested for COVID-19. 5. Players and officials (including spectators) who have attended any of the reported case locations listed on the NSW Health website (https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates) are not permitted to play, train or attend matches for 14 days, and should get tested for COVID-19. Unfortunately, if we want to keep playing, the focus needs to be on playing the game not watching!
