25.01.2022 Congrats to Mansfield cricketer and occasional coach at our girls cricket sessions, Kaz Stafford for his selection to the 2020 Japan Cricket Association Academy Squad. Kaz missed a couple of winter matches in 2019 to travel to Japan to compete in an U19 tournament. He's now trying to fight his way into the Japan U19 team that will compete in the ICC East Asia Pacific Championships in 2021. With a bit of luck, that team will hopefully qualify for the 2022 ICC U19 World Cup in the Caribbean Good luck Kaz and GO JAPAN!

22.01.2022 A reminder that Girls Only Zone is on tomorrow and will start at the normal time of 4.30pm (finishing at 6pm) We will be out in the middle of the field tomorrow... and if your daughter has a cricket bat she should bring it out to the pitch with her. How good was our turnout last week! (Check out the photo below) We won't have as many tomorrow because some of our girls will be away at BEARS selection trials. 21.01.2022 Update on the Stage 1 trials given the latest advice re the COVID-19 virus. We’ve decided to postpone these trials until later in the year. Similarly selections... for the RCP program will be done later in the year. While we know this is disappointing for the kids, our number 1 priority is to look after the health of our players, their families and the broader community.

21.01.2022 While we all loved the rain, it played havoc on our playing fields. So our players don’t miss out, our local derby, the Mansfield Knights vs Mansfield Titans match has been moved to Blackberry Street, Mansfield tomorrow. Our Mansfield Chargers get to have a sleep in as their match has been moved to an afternoon fixture at Manly West SS.

It was a good match played in great spirit. Unfortunately Destina pulled a muscle and we hope that she recovers quickly as she's starting to show some good form on the field. 19.01.2022 This weekends Girls Heat League match for our level 1 girls is on Field 4. The game starts at 7.45am so please be there by 7.15am. Remember it takes 10 minutes to walk down to that field and we have a lot of gear that needs to lugged.

Remember to wear your Mansfield Girls cricket shirts please Below is an extract from the organizers regarding the competition. Can you please read through this info and take note In Stage 1 It is imperative that batters are padded up and ready to enter the field of play when the existing batters complete their allocations. Also, on-ground assistance should be directed to fixing up tees quickly following the bowling of wides. In stage 2, umpires need to keep the game moving please. Last summer we had some epic long games due to a lack of diligence moving the game along between overs etc. Can I stress that Girls cricket is in its infancy. Standards vary enormously. Cricket is most often NOT the number 1 sport for the girls yet. We need all adults to focus on engagement and enjoyment for the girls NOT on winning please do everything possible within your team and within the match to ensure the successes of members of both teams is acknowledged. A quiet word from the square leg umpire to a fielder about a stop or a throw or a catch makes the world of difference to the individual at the Level 1 stage especially. 12.01.2022 Last Sunday some of our children joined in a terrific morning out at Whites Hill. With thanks to Holland Park Junior Cricket Club our girls spent the morning tr...aining for cricket. Then they all got to have a meet and greet with Brisbane Heat, QLD Fire and Australian cricket superstar Jess "JJ" Jonassen. Jess was amazingly friendly, signed autographs, posed for photos, and answered every question from every adoring fan. Fun, fun, fun!

05.01.2022 Hi everyone, Welcome back for the post x-mas season of girls cricket at Mansfield JCC Here are the key dates for you to remember... Girls Only Zone Training Girls Only Zone resumes on Monday the 27th of January 2020 (The Australia Day Public Holiday). It will run every Monday afternoon during Term 1, 2020. We welcome new players to come and try so please bring friends along. Girls Heat League GHL post-Christmas season starts Sunday 9 February 2020 and runs for 6 weeks through 15 March 2020. Blasters Junior Blasters and Master Blasters post-Christmas season starts Saturday 1 February 2020 and runs through to 21 March 2020. Mixed Club Cricket Club cricket resumes on Saturday February 1st. Girls playing in this competition will no doubt hear from their coaches and managers about training that will occur in advance of the first game. We can't wait to get all our girls back into training and playing so see you soon

03.01.2022 U15 Girls Paul Pink Shield fixtures for the upcoming December/January period Training: starting back this Wednesday Time: 5:30 - 7:30pm Location: At Wynnum Cric...ket Nets All new players welcome :) This Queensland Cricket competition has grown to 10 teams, with the addition of Sunshine Coast and UQCC. In a similar fashion to the Lord’s Taverners, the teams have been split into a North and South Zone. Each team plays all opponents in their relevant zone and then a few cross-zone games. The highest finishing teams in each zone will play each other in a Final. With some night fixtures at Chelmer and Norm McMahon Oval. 02.01.2022 ! The AFL Grand Final at the Gabba on Saturday has affected two Under 10 fixtures between Mansfield and Bulimba scheduled for Raymond Park. The games were to be played within the Gabba traffic area which would have meant everyone moving their vehicles every 15 minutes. A number of games have been rescheduled to enable these games to still proceed.
