23.01.2022 Ten Christmases in Australia and I would be lying if I said I still don't miss the cold Canadian Christmases of my youth. There is something so magical about the glistening snow, the roaring fire and twinkling tree lights but Australia has certainly opened my eyes up to a different type of Christmas and shown me that on certain occasions the sand can sparkle just as well as the snow.

20.01.2022 SNEAK PEEK Yesterday we did Christmas Mini's a little differently. I went to my clients gorgeous home and we did a quick little Christmas set up before this wee one had to have his dinner. The kids were amazing and what a beautiful family! I can't wait to share the rest.

19.01.2022 Have you ever done a cake smash with your kids? They are such fun sessions to do! It is always so fun to see which bubs are a little more unsure and which ones are keen to just jump right in! My little Indigo baby didn't have any trouble tucking in to hers.

19.01.2022 Maternity sessions are probably my favourite type of session to shoot. I think sometimes we associate "special" with rare. And of course, you don't have to go far to 'bump' into an expecting mama. New life is growing all around us all the time and we become desensitised to it's wonder. But when I do a maternity session we get to take a moment to really acknowledge the magic and insane beauty that is growing an entirely new HUMAN BEING! A little person who is going to join th...e world and laugh and cry and love and fail and succeed and LIVE. I will always think a pregnant mama is one of the most beautiful creatures (even when we might feel at our worst). Documenting this crazy, chaotic, sometimes painful but ultimately divinely important time is not something you will ever regret. Are you or someone you know expecting? 07.01.2022 This handsome little devil was so obsessed with this stick throughout our session. He had the best imagination and was searching for dinosaurs with it. It was so adorable watching him play that I had to get a shot of him with it! Kids are magic.

07.01.2022 Who doesn't love an adorable sleeping baby?! Let's be honest, the newborn stage is a bit of a mixed bag for parents. It can be filled with exhaustion, tears & poopy nappies yes. But it is also filled with baby snuggles, finger grasping (if you know, you know!), that intoxicating newborn smell and of course a love like no other. I've been thinking a lot lately about the state of the world right now. About the collective 'heaviness' that we are all feeling. Tonight while doin...g some editing, I was listening to my favourite podcast (thank you @mamamiaaus ) where they too were pondering our current emotional state of play. They spoke of our need as human beings, for hope. Perhaps that is what is so beautiful about a wee little bub. They are a clean slate, a new beginning, the future. They are basically just a tiny bundle of love and of hope. And I'd photograph that any day. See more

05.01.2022 As mums we are (more often than not) the ones taking the photos and rarely the ones in them! I think it is so important for mums to get a moment to be celebrated for being beautiful, strong, magical women in their own right. I love taking a few minutes to capture mama all on her own during my family sessions for this very reason. And how bloody cute is this one?!

03.01.2022 This view! As a mother of three myself I know this view is one we see often and one I will miss oh so much when my babies are grown. Looking down at your bub knowing they are safe and happy in your arms is one of the best feelings in the world.
