10.01.2022 WORKSHOPS I genuinely adore doing workshops. I love seeing people’s creativity and how 20 people can come up with 20 completely different pieces from the same batch of product. It truly speaks to our individuality. My floristry passion was sparked by a simple workshop once, apon a time, to expand my skill base in the event industry and here we are flowering up a storm on the regular. Sometimes you have to just give something a go! 29.11.2021 Working with native style flowers If I’m honest, earlier in 2021 I went off native style flowers a bit. I felt like I wasn’t expressing my style through them, as much as I had used them in the past. But I’ve revitalised that love a bit more lately with some really creative events. ... For me - using native style flowers (and I say that because a lot of what is thrown into the ‘native flowers’ category, isn’t actually native to Australia) is about balance. And that goes for all floral design. It’s about a balance of textures. A lot of native style flowers have a tendency to be ‘harsh’ in texture - they’re spikey or big and bold or sticklike and it’s so important to balance that with appropriate softness. Like we did here with this bold bright palette for a corporate conference and gala with @knownassociatesevents in November. Some of the best floral design uses a mix of florals to achieve an aesthetic. Who says you can’t mix natives with hot house flowers? Who says you can’t mix native and cottage flowers? 16.10.2021 NEWSFLASH: It’s ok to feel a little bit scared! To feel like you don’t know what you’re doing. To feel overwhelmed. AND simultaneously excited. These things can all be true at the same time when you’re planning your wedding. ... This latest COVID scenario may have you feeling a little scattered about what might happen for your upcoming wedding. That’s ok too. It’s perfectly normal to have initial responses and for them to be a bit emotionally charged. The best advice I can give you is to always have a Plan B in a small farback compartment of your mind. Have a bad weather plan (for rain, wind and heat). Have a Bridesmaid can’t make it plan. Have a COVID effects my day plan. We always hope we don’t have to implement these plans. Because we want Plan A. Plan A is all the magic you’ve imagined for a perfect day with your perfect person in perfect weather surrounded by your very favourite people. But because things don’t always go to plan, knowing that you have a contingency can make it a hell of a lot less stressful if a Plan B needs to be executed. Assemble a solid team of wedding suppliers around you, discuss options should something occur, read their COVID policy and cancellation policy and arm yourself with all the information! Discuss options with them to come up with your Plans B. Sending all our love to our beautiful couples and all those currently planning their weddings

16.08.2021 White, Green + Gold It’s fair to say we developed a little bit of a love affair with this colour palette in 2021. ... This wasn’t the first appearance, and it shan’t be the last.
