17.01.2022 [Sales] I was a got on a sales call for coaching the other day. Not as the coach. But as a PROSPECT. It started off incredibly well.... Deep rapport. Real understanding. And a pathway to what we want more of. For 45 minutes, we talked about frustrations in a particular area, our goals, what was working, and what was not. It was crystal clear to me that this coach could help us. He was smart. Empathetic. And had a system that made sense. I WANTED to join. Everything was awesome, UNTIL in the last few minutes he started talking about how his program worked. I went from sold to cold in 90 seconds and wanted to jump in and show him how to sell me better. I couldn't connect his LOGISTICS to my PROBLEMS. And I had to try and ROI justify it myself (his price vs my aspirations. Don't make a prospect think. Commitment is hard enough already. Make your stuff easy to understand, easy to use, and easy to buy. He didn't get the client, and I got a great firsthand lesson in the importance of how you deliver the last 10 minutes of a sales conversation. There are 6 Magic Pills you need to deliver for a prospect to say yes. You can't skip them. And the order matters. This coach gave me 2 of 6. Backwards. And it took me from turned on, to turned off in under 2 minutes. Here's what happened, and how to do it right so your prospects say "Yes" on the spot... Taki "Pills" Moore P.S.
