30.01.2022 Caption this..... NB* The fellas are both doing well today, all travelling along nicely and just as hoped, albeit a ‘little’ sore. #legends #brothers #donatelife #kidneydonor #lifechanging #graditude #nowordsneeded #fuckingamazing

18.01.2022 TRANSPLANT DAY These absolute legends have been in, had a kidney harvested and a kidney transplanted. Said kidney is doing its job and the boys are both sleepy, druggy and doing well.... Send your prayers, vibes, and love

16.01.2022 THE DATE IS SET and it’s just around the corner. June will see Marc’s world and life as he knows it change forever. Adam too, will be forever changed. A little lighter, probably a lot more tired and a whole lot of adjusting to be had.... To respect the boys privacy (as much as we can), we won’t be releasing the specifics, but rest assured we will keep you all included with any developments. You know what we love? It’s love, just plain ole LOVE. That’s all. A comment, a well wish public or privately to the boys themselves; it’s the constant support that will help with the nerves. So peeps, get on it.

13.01.2022 When a picture says 1000 words. Another example of the 1% rule that Marc seems to follow, this time however in his favor. You will remember that Adam had recommenced compatibility testing late last year, well the results are in!... Adam and Marc are as close a match possible without being twins Adam and Marc have ticked all the boxes for the transplant to proceed which at this stage could be as early as June or July. Can you believe it?!?! Get behind them and throw the brothers some . PS. Adam Heading - you’re a fucking legend!

07.01.2022 Our last post was November 2020, since then it’s been crickets from us; but only on the social front. Big things have been happening behind the scenes. Big, huge, massive things. Watch this space...

24.12.2021 Big fat ticks!! So far, the final stages of tissue testing have gone well and the big tick has been given for tissue compatibility. ... There are just a couple more little things that are equally as important but somewhat more controllable to go. One massive consideration, is knowing that Adam could very well go through the donation process and his kidney could help Marc for 20years, 1year or even 1 day. This is big team. So big. Keep everything crossed, and the positive vibes coming

10.12.2021 EXCITING NEWS There has been some movement on compatibility testing. If you remember, Adam; Marc’s younger brother was undergoing compatibility testing to see if he was able to donate a kidney (what a champion!) ... He got through most of it and then that little cancerous mofo was found in Marc’s mouth. Testing was put on ice so to speak as one needs to be completely free of cancer cells before a transplant can occur. Well...I am so excited to announce that testing has resumed. This past week has seen Adam weeing in lots of little yellow cups 24 hrs worth to be precise, to test for protein and volume - basically to make sure he is not offering Marc a dodgy kidney. Offering up tubes and tubes of blood to test for EVERYTHING. He has had yet another ecg of the heart. Tissue typing - the BIG guy, the ultimate. This will test what antibodies Marc has against Adam and to essentially check if they are a match. Kind of a big deal that one. So team Marc groupies, it’s time once again to think of these fellas. Send them your love, thoughts and hope over the coming weeks. and then we wait...........

01.12.2021 How good is a podcast. My love of reading is kind of last on the to do list each day, but podcasts can be on anytime. Driving, showering, cooking etc.... ‘My awesome body’ - check it out. Listen to the stories shared about the transplant recipients. Then...register..simples.

11.11.2021 At the risk of bragging....check this out. Ya’ll did this, by liking, commenting, supporting and loving you helped and continue to help Marc and Lisa, but read this from Layton’s mum. Look at that hope, she found that because of you! ... Check out his journey and share the See more

27.10.2021 Waking up with all the feels today From Laytons’s page we have found yet another Mr 1%er. This little guy is only 7 and is in the States. The hope Marc’s story / life has given both boys families is probably one of the biggest reliefs they have had as parents since diagnosis.... Neither have had a transplant yet, their doctors think it’s too risky and they’ve not had anything / one to compare to. These parents can now take Marc’s story and success to these doctors and give them an option. How freakin awesome are you Marc Heading. You are changing some worlds right now! About that, a timely reminder to all to register as an organ and / or blood donor.

23.10.2021 A bit of a bitter sweet message. Today, a lady reached out as her 6yr old son was diagnosed with HSP last year. Within 6 months of diagnosis he was in renal failure and has been on dialysis since. I mentioned he is 6 right???... Another Mr 1%er The purpose of her message is because after hours upon hours of research, she has not come across anyone who was in renal failure due to HSP. Because of this page and the activity on it, she found us Marc can now give this little guy and his family some reassurance and some answers based on experience rather than study. Our little ‘team Marc’ community never ceases to amaze me.

09.10.2021 Bloody Covid 19! Anyone else tired of hearing about, seeing and thinking about it? Be it on social media, TV, or just in every day conversation it is there raising its ugly head. How the way we live has, and will be forever changed. Another level to consider for those like Marc is the pressure this virus puts not only on medical staff but the equipment they so heavily rely on.... In NY they have discovered that those hospitalized with severe covid cases now face Kidney disease. Not only is that very crappy for the diagonised, it puts a massive strain on dialysis machines required for those already living with Kidney disease. #fuckcorona

29.09.2021 Covid -19 haven’t you just changed the world you bloody MOFO! How is everyone adapting to the change? This is kinda a big deal for anyone, but more so for people like Marc. Luckily he likes his own space and is a bit of a hermit at the best of times.... Isolation takes on new meaning when living with a chronic illness. Paired with the extra strain on the health system there is such a domino effect on what the future holds. Time being a big deal. Please lord, no more delays. What’s your iso tips? Mine is...don’t have kids and if that ship has sailed, wine. Lots and lots of wine.
