24.01.2022 and they worry about 'climate change'... where are the kids demanding action because this is a real 'now now' problem. Where did all that rainwater go to in th...e last few days ? Should have gone to places where it didn't rain, not out to sea with our topsoil. NSF could have really helped if it had been implemented by councils and more properties. It's a real head shaker ! 24.01.2022 A picture says a thousand words...... A great example of what can be achieved with some simple structures and some know how, this time in our very own Midwest, yay. Many thanks to Rod and Bridie.

24.01.2022 About to head back to Gero after some bush work.

24.01.2022 Today, a bit of mulching on some intersections out the back of Canna in Midwest WA. #geraldton #earthmoving #positrack #mulching

21.01.2022 Today, some creek restoration work

19.01.2022 Couldn't get this to work as a album, try this....... Series of photos showing repair of eroded stream path. Sides of system where battered down, lifting the floor level. Blockages were inserted at appropriate points and meander was built into system floor.... Once earthworks were completed local vegetation graded to sides pre- works were brought back over the job and "Harley-raked" in to stabilise the soil and provide a seed bed for rapid regrowth. Works stabilised soil and water loss and lifted the water table allowing plants to re-establish and continue the repair process. Nice.

18.01.2022 2nd video of some tree and stump removal we carried out recently.

16.01.2022 Self explanatory really

13.01.2022 Today, a little bit of fore-dune repair work, in this case re-establishment of a main beach access path after a series of major erosion events that we did a while back. The path was re-cut at an angle, depth and orientation sufficient to provide an even grade and cope with further erosion. The woks where than stabilised with seaweed sourced from the immediate beach area ready for planting out with native species.

06.01.2022 Beautiful Bylong Valley holds the secret to rehydrating the Australian landscape and Tarwyn Park is the key. But beautiful Bylong Valley is in big trouble... A Korean energy company wants to turn Bylong Valley into a coal mine. Imagine a better vision for Bylong Valley. Tarwyn Park as a centre for Restorative Agriculture. Students, researchers and practitioners visiting from around the world. Thousands of jobs and export opportunities for Mudgee and beyond. Natural Sequence Farming was developed and tested by Peter Andrews OAM at Tarwyn Park in Bylong Valley. Peter has proven that the Australian landscape contains the blueprint we need to restore biodiversity and farm productivity. The UN has recognised Natural Sequence Farming as 1 of only 5 methods of sustainable agriculture in the world and is about to declare the next 10 years The Decade of Landscape Restoration. The Australian Government has said Natural Sequence Farming needs to be replicated right around our nation. They have put aside five billion dollars to drought-proof Australia. Peter Andrews is ready to go. Tarwyn Park is ready to go. Millions of people have been inspired by the Australian Story. Now, we ask the NSW Government to reject the Bylong Coal Project so we can move forward with a better vision for Bylong. You can make a big difference. Share this story. Support a better vision for Bylong. We acknowledge the Wiradjuri nation, elders past, present and future, the Traditional Owners of Bylong Valley. #Bylong #TarwynPark #RestorativeAgriculture #DroughtProof

01.01.2022 What’s the largest river on Earth? If you said the Amazon you’re only half right. Scientists have discovered an even bigger river in South America, and it’s in the sky above the Amazon rainforest. Turns out, this sky river is the reason there’s a rainforest at all
