17.01.2022 What a great way to start the year off for the 2020 Margs boarders calendar. The first event of the year was a super fun, chilled event taking back to the grass roots of single fin surfing. It’s a day we try and get all the new and existing members together to kick off the year and have some fun. What bettter way to do it then a single fin shoot out! A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came down to support the club and lend their boards. It’s was an awesome day filled with many laughs and good times. Congratulations to the over all winner @cy_cox for taking out the final. We look forward to seeing everyone at the next event in March at Gas Bay - date’s to be announced. 15.01.2022 Surfing Western Australia has been deeply saddened by the passing of one of our own, Margaret River’s Ry Dempsey. A talented shortboarder, Ry first joined Surfi...ng WA back in 2013, capturing the Under-12 Micro Groms State Title in 2014, before representing WA at National Titles in 2015 on North Stradbroke, QLD & 2016 on Phillip Island, VIC in the Under-14 Boys division. Ry was a much-loved member of the south-west surfing community & part of the Surfing WA family. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, energy & enthusiasm in & out of the water. The words are hard to find, but the memories are still so bright of a life lost far too soon. Our thoughts go out the Dempsey & Arthur families as well as the members of the Margaret River Boardriders Club & Cowaramup Bay Boardriders!
