24.01.2022 My design minded friends have told me that if I was a lamp I would be the 5321 table lamp from @gubiofficial The 5321 is Paavo Tynells fanciful take on nature designed in 1938. 19.01.2022 I honestly couldnt be more happy to welcome in the 2020s. Lets hope its just as beautiful, strong and bold as the Roaring 20s. Even after 100 years the fashion and design styles of the 1920s are still relevant today. I hope we can reflect the same on the design of 2020s in 100 years time. These floors were done 2 years ago for a very busy @airbnb and they are still shmick Beautiful cabinetry by @leeuwinwood and handles @mademeasure @smegaustralia Retro fridge. 13.01.2022 Sometimes I miss my old house in Sydney. It was 120 years old. Had the most beautiful patterned ceilings and was a 15 minute cycle to the best Sydney had to offer. During the crazy of COVID though I am thankful of where I live now and how amazing Margaret River can be.

10.01.2022 One of my absolute favourite furniture pieces is the CH24 or Wishbone chair from @carlhansenandson The very first model that Hans J. Wegner designed exclusively for Carl Hansen & Søn was in 1949 and the CH24 has been in continuous production since its introduction in 1950. Its a classic piece that is stunningly beautiful and unfortunately copied to death. The originals stand out from the replicas though with their perfect scale, comfort and depth. Designed for life not landfill

08.01.2022 The bushfires and loss of life is devastating and breaks my heart . I wish I could give to all the causes but Ive chosen Wires. I hope through all this devastation that the light at the end of the tunnel is real action on climate change. In the words of the great David Attenborough The truth is the world is changing and we are totally dependent on that world. It provides our food, water and air. It is the most precious thing we have and we need to defend it. It seems to... me that the natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest. 07.01.2022 This isnt a pretty picture but its a lesson learnt and one I thought I should share. Last night we were out on the town having a few drinks at our favourite bar Yonder when our neighbors called to say he could hear water coming out of our house. We rushed home and our house was flooded, the floors and ceiling below pretty much ruined. We havent renovated our kitchen yet and it had an old mixer as you can see in the photos. One of The tails had blown while we were out. This... is a story I knew and heard heaps of times when I worked in plumbing years ago. Clients that had bought a cheap mixer from an unknown brand and the same thing had happened and ruined their brand new kitchen and the apartment below them. These things can be covered by insurance but I just wanted to share its important to check the integrity of your mixers at home and when buying them the best quality you can afford is always best.
