17.01.2022 I hope you have all had the chance to enjoy a break from work and your usual routines so that you are refreshed, relaxed and ready for the year ahead! Now that Christmas and New Year are well and truly behind us, has the busy-ness of life taken off? ... School is back, work has become more serious, and there never seems to be enough time in the day to get things done! Is this busy-ness getting in the way of making some of those positive changes you were determined to make at the beginning of the new year? There are many things that you can do for yourself at home that help restore and maintain balance. : * back on track with a balanced eating plan (if you’re anything like me, you have relaxed and enjoyed a few too many treats while on holiday ) * getting enough of the right fluids (this does NOT include coffee or alcohol) * getting enough sleep * exercising and moving your body (in whatever way suits you best) If any of these could be improved, then work on these and see what changes! #mariennecoxacupuncture #selfcare #generalhealth #balance

13.01.2022 Remember you are in control! Balance is such a simple idea, and for much of the time we hold the balance well, juggling all that is required of us in the ever-increasing pace of our lives. Occasionally help may be required to get the balance back, or to shift the balance when making positive changes.... The effective healing practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine help re-establish the balance in body, mind and spirit, as it is needed. #findtime #findbalance #selfcare #mariennecoxacupuncture
13.01.2022 Wow , it was just last week that I was reassuring everyone that it would be business as usual during these rapidly changing times. Over the last week I have been watching the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, both locally and globally. Weighing up my options, and tuning in to how my clients are feeling, so that I can balance providing service and navigate what is right for the greater community.... At this point I will also tell you (for those that don’t already know) that before I became an Acupuncturist, I was a Medical Microbiologist. What this basically means is that I worked with infectious diseases, and have a solid background in Infection Control procedures. For this pandemic to slow down locally, and for our health care system to be able to cope with those who do contract the virus and become seriously ill, we need restrict our movements as much as possible. In order to do my bit, to keep you safe, and by extension your loved ones, I have decided to close temporarily. I am not out of reach though; you can still contact my either by: Direct message here on FB, Or By email: [email protected] I will be checking both daily While I wont be offering acupuncture treatments at this time, I am offering phone consultations for herbs, which will be posted out to you. So, please get in touch if you need anything! I anticipate opening my doors again in May. But this will depend on how well we all pull together to slow this sucker down! So, stay safe and stay well!

02.01.2022 Do you find that you’re so busy and in demand that you can’t quite fit in any quiet time for yourself? Are you feeling a little frazzled and at the end of your tether?... Then you might like to try this... Step outside and get in touch with nature even if it is just for a brief moment feel the earth under your feet, the sun on your face, the wind on your skin and just take a moment to breathe deeply doesn’t that feel better?? If stepping outside really isn’t possible, then just take a moment to sit back from you desk, close your eyes, feel your body sitting comfortably supported by the chair, and breathe. One breath in and out is good, 30 seconds of watching the breath is great, and up to a minute or more is awesome! Taking a moment just to breathe deeply and mindfully is a quick and easy way to relax and refresh both mind and body. And of course, if you have a bit more time, acupuncture is also a useful tool to add to your self care tool kit #mariennecoxacupuncture #selfcare #generalhealth #balance
02.01.2022 Happy Chinese New Year! This new year of the Metal Rat is to be a year of new opportunities and new beginnings. It has the potential to be a prosperous year for everyone. There is going to be lots of creative energy flowing, so this is a great time to pay attention to long-term goals and aspirations. ... The Rat is the first animal in the Chinese zodiac so this marks the beginning of a new 12 year cycle (there are 12 animals in the zodiac). As this is also the year 2020 (in the Gregorian calendar), not only is it the start of a new decade, but I have been thinking that this is a good year for clear seeing, and finding clarity in areas where there might have previously been some doubts or confusion. So, there is potential for many new beginnings and prosperity Now that you are seeing things clearly, and have an abundance of creative energy, what would you like be doing in the coming months? What do you see for yourself this year? The Rat is considered to be a sign of wealth and surplus so, I wish you all an abundance of joyful experiences this year! #mariennecoxacupuncture #chinesenewyear #generalhealth #naturaltherapies
