25.01.2022 Respect of and respect for the biosphere is key , growth economics is not in-step with Natural systems growth. We are all in a script, a spell, not of our making, Conscious or unconscious of this, we are slowly waking up, and being informed. Words on screens are like a spell of the Middle Ages. When ink and paper was the recipe of ingredients to inform those who could spell and read. While those who could not read may have seen the scribble and seen the actions of a person ...upon understanding the instructions , as if by magic , under a spell. Meet us at Horseshoe Bay for a spell binding experience as we cast off the shackles of the land with your help. Enthusiasm required conditions apply. See more

19.01.2022 A Haulout ( lick scrub and paint ) is an annual event for our ship . We need helping hands when this event is scheduled.. We sail then from Townsville to the Whitsundays as a reward for involvement in this haulout event.. The Haulout process means a week aboard ship in the boatyard at South Townsville slipway. ... Prepping a wooden boat for a new coat of paint . Sitting on scaffold , sanding , lying on planks, sanding Cleaning and recoating by brush or by roller.. Upon return to the water we should return to Magnetic Island and voyage on to Whitsundays and beyond with the right attitudes. The timing for this haulout is scheduled for July 17 2020 If you like this idea contact our captain During June on 0412712042 Or send your details to [email protected] See more

06.01.2022 Hey guys. Just sharing a quote by Sterling Hayden, always helps me and my crew keep sure. I hope it helps some of you also! "To be truly challenging, a voyage, like a life, must rest on a firm foundation of financial unrest. Otherwise, you are doomed to a routine traverse, the kind known to yachtsmen who play with their boats at sea... "cruising" it is called. Voyaging belongs to seamen, and to the wanderers of the world who cannot, or will not, fit in. If you are contemplat...ing a voyage and you have the means, abandon the venture until your fortunes change. Only then will you know what the sea is all about. "Ive always wanted to sail to the south seas, but I cant afford it." What these men cant afford is not to go. They are enmeshed in the cancerous discipline of "security." And in the worship of security we fling our lives beneath the wheels of routine - and before we know it our lives are gone. What does a man need - really need? A few pounds of food each day, heat and shelter, six feet to lie down in - and some form of working activity that will yield a sense of accomplishment. Thats all - in the material sense, and we know it. But we are brainwashed by our economic system until we end up in a tomb beneath a pyramid of time payments, mortgages, preposterous gadgetry, playthings that divert our attention for the sheer idiocy of the charade. The years thunder by, The dreams of youth grow dim where they lie caked in dust on the shelves of patience. Before we know it, the tomb is sealed. Where, then, lies the answer? In choice. Which shall it be: bankruptcy of purse or bankruptcy of life?" Sterling Hayden - Wandered
