25.01.2022 Visited Ravenshoe this morning to announce if I'm elected and with a Tim Nicholls lead LNP, we will fund a new Police Liaison vehicle to help the Ravenshoe Chamber of Commerce... currently there is one vehicle being shared within the police department of Ravenshoe and that puts a safety risk on the local communities which is quite concerning.... time to Build a Better Queensland and help support local communities and families....

25.01.2022 Out and about letter box dropping....

24.01.2022 Went to a little place called Mutchilba yesterday afternoon... now this place was once nearly taken off the map... yes you read right... taken off the map.. but a group of locals rallied together to keep Mutchilba on the map and by golly they have done a marvellous job... every first Friday of the month they have a community BBQ... I was blown away by the community spirit this group of people have... they put on a range of food, the kids have a great playground and large area to play. Loved watching the locals catch up the squeals from the kids having fun... Mutchilba you should be proud of yourselves and I cant wait to visit again. Enjoyed the talk on drones and agriculture.

24.01.2022 It was good to see all the people last night at the Meet the Candidate held by the Mission Beach Community Assoc... 65 people.... you should be proud of yourselves... I hope you all received the answers you needed to make the right choice on Sat 25th Nov ... Lets Build a Better Queensland

20.01.2022 The cost of living just keeps getting higher and higher with Labor....

19.01.2022 After having read on Facebook that on the 31st of July, Sunwater are going to release between 200 - 300 megalitres of water per day from Tinaroo Dam for environmental attributes. I immediately contacted the relevant shadow ministers Dr Christian Rowan MP Environment and Heritage Protection, Andrew Cripps MP Natural Resources and Mines and Dale Last MP the Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry as the agriculture industry is already under pressure with reduced allocations due to lower then average wet season.

18.01.2022 The Hill SEC are having a meeting on Sunday 06th August at the Malanda Hotel, English St, Malanda at 12noon for Lunch or at 2pm for the meeting. I will be discussing 4 topics of interest and they are the Nullinga Dam, Tully Millstream, Dairy famer issues and electricity prices. All are welcome to attend and hope to see new faces. If you wish to attend for lunch please phone the Malanda Hotel and book.

17.01.2022 This is a great announcement for the Tully and surrounding communities. The Showgrounds are well overdue for a revamp and I hope myself, Andrew Cripps and a Tim Nicholls lead LNP Government can make this project a reality....

17.01.2022 I would like to Thank the Tully Chamber of Commerce for inviting the Candidates of Hill to speak and to discuss issues and what they believe in...

17.01.2022 Visited the Mission Beach Surf Life Saving Club this morning to announce that if Im elected the LNP will provide $50 000.00 for needed repairs to their clubhouse.... whilst I was there I had breakfast with the family.... its a must.... well done to the committee members who volunteer their time to patrol the beaches and protect the locals and visitors... well done to the nippers for learning such a useful skill ....

17.01.2022 Pre polling starts today.... the pre polling booths for the seat of Hill are Shop 4 Midtown Arcade, Innisfail Library, Old Police Station Ravenshoe and the Anglican Church (hall behind the church) ... Make sure you number every box...

16.01.2022 After visiting Herberton I went to Mundoo State Schools Fete... brought back a lot of memories from my time as a youngster attending Feluga State School... was great to see they had a train ride which is a thing from the past these days... The parents and teachers put on a great afternoon... well done to you all especially the kids performing... I then left and went on to Tully to watch the close A grade football game between Tully and Yarrabah !!!

15.01.2022 In Malanda catching up with some people and having a meeting with Senator Barry O'Sullivan... having some great talking topics on high electricity prices, water security, tree clearing.....

15.01.2022 Whilst I was on the Tablelands yesterday I went and checked out the Maize Festival. It was great to see community support for the town and most of all the organisers bringing the festival back to the streets. Heaps of entertainment whether it be a display, musician or old farm machinery... I missed the street parade but will be definitely staying longer next year....

14.01.2022 The Labor's Energy Policy is quite thorough....

14.01.2022 Lets make this a realistic project and get the Tablelands moving forward.... water security is needed on so many levels... if farmers and tourism is moving forward with water security it flows onto the wider communities... our areas in Nth Qld have suffered so long and Im standing up on your behalf to make projects like this and many more become a reality.... Lets Build a Better Queensland

13.01.2022 Through a recent conversation, the issue with the Certificate Two in Fire Fighting Operations and Community Safety has now been withdrawn from local schools was brought to my attention. The program has been operating for the past seven years and has been a great success and considering many of our students live on rural and remote communities its almost a necessity for them to learn. The past students who have completed the course have come out with enthusiasm and experience. With a workforce of aging firefighters, doesnt this program ignite interest in the younger generation to become volunteers in the Rural Fire Fighting Brigade and become potential leaders. I am urging the Qld Government to seriously look at funding and to reinstate this program for our rural schools.

12.01.2022 There was once a lot of dairy farmers in the Tablelands and the numbers has declined over the years and now the latest act by the Cairns Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, Minister Cameron Dick and the Palaszczuk Labor Government that they will be purchasing their milk products from Parmalat from down south and not from the local Dairy Farmers Malanda Plant is just another kick in the guts for our Tableland dairy farmers. This just highlights the lack of understanding fr...om our Labor Government and the effects this has, not only our dairy farmers but the businesses and jobs that they support in the wider north. Job stability could now be at stake, but obviously the Premier and Health Minister are only interested in Jobs in the South East Corner. What other local services may now be at risk inside the CHHHS if this Government is prepared to source goods from over 1000km away. Will more local suppliers be shown the exit and further jobs put at risk? I call on the Health Minister to immediately revisit this decision and to publicly rule out any further cuts to local suppliers. What happened to the saying "Buy Locally"!!!

12.01.2022 Let's make this a realistic project and get the Tablelands moving forward.... water security is needed on so many levels... if farmers and tourism is moving forward with water security it flows onto the wider communities... our areas in Nth Qld have suffered so long and I'm standing up on your behalf to make projects like this and many more become a reality.... 12.01.2022 The Labors Energy Policy is quite thorough....

12.01.2022 While in the Atherton Tablelands today I visited a quirky cafe called Petals and Pinecones.... which I found innovative and interesting a great example of thinking outside the square.... I would recommend it and great staff... well done

11.01.2022 Come for a Meet N Greet to see Shadow Minister for Energy & Water Michael Hart at the Atherton Bowls Club @ 6:30 pm today... we need to show the Shadow Minister how important the high power prices are and water security is for our Hill Electorate

11.01.2022 I would like to Thank all the people who have helped me throughout the campaign. It's been a great experience and I've meet a lot of people and I hope I can be your representative for the seat of Hill...

10.01.2022 Visited Ravenshoe this morning to announce if Im elected and with a Tim Nicholls lead LNP, we will fund a new Police Liaison vehicle to help the Ravenshoe Chamber of Commerce... currently there is one vehicle being shared within the police department of Ravenshoe and that puts a safety risk on the local communities which is quite concerning.... time to Build a Better Queensland and help support local communities and families....

09.01.2022 Attended the MDFVGA Gala Dinner last night.. what an entertaining night and to be seated amongst the 350 attendees. Congratulations to the MDFVGA committee members for all your hard work on putting on the dinner and for supporting the local farmers and businesses within the community. The fruit and vegetable auction brought in $18550.00 ... huge effort and thank you to the people participating in the auction... The table of fruit and vegetables went for $950. A big congratulations to Matt who won the prestigious award for the Farmer of the Year...

09.01.2022 At the Atherton-Herberton Historic Railway meetings today... what a fantastic group of people who are truly dedicated to a great cause... the volunteers so far have clocked up 7323hrs between them all from January to July. I visited this place about a year ago and what work has been carried out on the trains and their buildings is outstanding. The Herberton Mens Shed is attached to the train building and they work together on different tasks. They are hoping to have a steam train and timber carriage operating on the line mid next year.

09.01.2022 Out visiting the people of Dimbulah today.. water is a major issue for the farmers out here... the sad part is if they lose their water allocations or run out of water the farmers lose their crops which in turn is a loss of income and then the small towns suffer... if the tree crops die it will take the farmers 5-10 years to get back into production

08.01.2022 Lets Like Share and Comment for Andrew Cripps MP....

08.01.2022 https://www.betterqueensland.org.au/qldpostalvote Wont be around on election day... no worries you can apply for a Postal Vote. Remember every vote counts!!!

06.01.2022 Firstly, I would like to Thank Shadow Minister Dale Last for coming to our region and talking to the Australian Banana Growers Council and local banana and cane growers and taking their concerns regarding the feral pig numbers and Panama TR4 back to parliament. Now we have a reply back from Mr Bill Byrne and his answer has as many holes in it as the Nth Qld Bruce Highway. Not good enough Bill.... I will be having further discussions with Dale Last to see how we can apply pressure to this government to do more.

05.01.2022 Attended the Mission Beach Aquatic Festival today... we entered in the novice ski race with my son skiing... Go Team Hill.... great weather and lots of people are out and about visiting the stalls or watching the entertainment. Well done to all those who sponsored and helped organise the event....

05.01.2022 Went to the Babinda Harvest festival today... I must say these small towns put on a good show.... well done to the organisers and volunteers because if it wasnt for you these events wouldnt happen.... WELL DONE . Great to see so many people out and about catching up with everyone... I had to leave early to attend a wedding but all the best to the 2017 Queen Entrants

04.01.2022 Good to have the opportunity to discuss our local issues with Tim while he was at the Show on Wednesday - I reckon he got the dress code right ;-)

04.01.2022 Sorry Ive been offline .. have been busy attending multiple functions and organising the trip with Mr Tim Nicholls visiting our area.. Had a great time showing Nr Nicholls our beautiful region and what it has to offer and most of all meeting the constitutes of the electorate of Hill. Mr Nicholls has listened to all your concerns and taking them back to Brisbane to share with our LNP team to make them a reality once elected.

03.01.2022 Busy last few days.... went to the Innisfail Show on Thursday and Friday.... meet heaps of people and there concerns. Its interesting to see that a lot of people dont know about the new electorate of Hill and are surprised when you explain it to them. On Saturday went to the Mareeba Rodeo to meet some constituents from Dimbulah and Mutchilba as they are part of Hill as well... Great to see some rodeo action whilst we were there... will be at the Cairns show towards the end of the week.

01.01.2022 At the Billy Slater oval watching the match between Italy and Tonga.... great to see so many people out to watch the three games that have been played here tonight and the 100s of kids playing on the field next to the main field.... well done to all the players and to all the people who organised the event. Qld v Nsw Italian Heritage Mayors Invitational v PNG Orchids Italy v Tonga
