23.01.2022 A Windy Day but still a great Market Experience The Paynesville Farmers’ and Makers’ Market went ahead on Saturday despite the forecast of less than ideal weather conditions. Fortunately, the rain stayed away but not the wind. With more than twenty producers on site patrons who braved the cool and windy condition were treated a wide range of East Gippsland’s finest produce. Producers and patrons alike appreciated the opportunity to be ‘marketeering’ and picking up a qualit...y bargain or two. With the COVID-19 restrictions easing and in line with advice, we are planning planning to include our regular Makers for the October 24 market. Some have already signed up and the market promises to be a bonanza as we move towards Christmas. Thanks to Murtaza for the photos. He joined his father Turab at the Haraz Yemen Coffee stall and we ‘hijacked’ him as our photographer for the day. See more

21.01.2022 Unfortunately we have decided to cancel the market today as the weather is too wet and more rain and damaging winds are predicted. There may be some stall holders who decide to brave the weather and come along and we hope they do well. We hope to have great weather and a great variety of stalls for our next market in November.

19.01.2022 A big THANKYOU to all who supported our Farmers' Market this morning making it a great event for producers and our community alike. We even managed to have perfect weather! We had a good crowd and everyone respected the requirement for facemasks and social distancing and we hope that we can invite the wonderful 'makers" to join us soon in upcoming markets. Our next market will be back on schedule as the 4th Saturday in the month, being the 26th of September.

19.01.2022 This week is National Volunteers' Week and a good chance to recognise the wonderful people who help make our Farmers' and Makers' Market such a great one! The Rotary Club of Mitchell River, Bairnsdale host the event and provide all the admin support and run the BBQ each month. The money raised from the stall holder fees and BBQ gets returned to our local community supporting many worthy projects. Over the last few years this Market has become a favorite for locals and visit...ors alike and the range and number of stalls has significantly increased over time reaching capacity most months. In addition to the Rotary Club volunteers, we also have local musicians who volunteer their time to perform and entertain us. They have collected tips from people who have enjoyed their music and they add much to the atmosphere of the Market. This year the funds they have raised will be donated to Annie's Cottage, a family respite on a local farm which supports children with cancer. Volunteers do so much for our community. Often they are unseen and unrecognised but are greatly valued.

18.01.2022 Although we held a Market on Easter Saturday we are still continuing on with our regular morning market for April, which will be Saturday, the 24th of April. Stallholders are to be set up by 7.30 am with the Farmers' and Makers' Market starting at 8.00 am. We had a number of stall holders on a waiting list earlier this month, so if you wish to apply for a site, please email our Market Manager, Michael on [email protected] to see if any sites are available.

17.01.2022 ATTN: VEGIE GROWERS The Paynesville Farmers’ & Makers’ Market (minus the Makers) is re-opening this coming Saturday (August 29) We have a range of producers booked in to supply you with East Gippsland’s finest produce. 17.01.2022 Just a reminder to let our valued stall holders and customers know that our next Farmers' and Makers' Market will be held on Easter Saturday, the 3rd of April from 3.00pm- 7.00pm; a Twilight Market. We look forward to a great market as we are fully booked for stallholders with a waiting list and have a great range of stalls keen to participate. We also have a number of food vans including our Rotary BBQ as well. ... Easter time is a great time to meet friends or family for a holiday or just to catch up, and Paynesville and the surrounding district of East Gippsland has so much to offer.

17.01.2022 PRODUCERS MARKET is on Saturday, 26th September: As this month’s market is set for under 2 weeks we need to get things in motion for Saturday, the 26th of September. It is amazing how quickly it has come around again albeit our market last month was week later than usual. Last month’s market was very successful with 19 stallholders on site and our ‘sign-in’ records indicating that around 700 customers attended.... At this stage we are still restricted to producers stalls only and need confirmation of stall holder attendance by email: [email protected] We will also be following the COVID-19 guidelines as recommended for our Region. We hope to see a great turnout by our community once again to support the producers who attend but also to enjoy a day out!

17.01.2022 Another Pleasant Morning on the Paynesville Foreshore Following a hectic and well patronised twilight Market on Easter Saturday, the Paynesville Farmers' & Makers' Market returned to it usual Saturday morning timeslot this weekend and was again well patronised. Paynesville certainly turned on fantastic weather matched by fantastic quality produce and crafts. There were a number of new stallholders adding to the variety of goods on offer and whilst a few regular stallholders were at the East Gippsland Field Days and we look forward to them returning for the May market on Saturday May 22.

15.01.2022 Some great images of our Farmers's and Makers' Market. Please remember we are holding a Twilight Market tis coming Saturday, the 19th, from 4.00 - 8.00pm.

13.01.2022 Marketeers Out and Enjoying the Day

08.01.2022 LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NOVEMBER MARKET Well it was a bleak morning on the Esplanade in Paynesville on Saturday morning. Quite a few vendors turned up and those few patrons who ventured out in the cold and wet enjoyed some good deals on East Gippsland finest produce. With business a little slow and the wind and rain sweeping in around 10.00 am those stallholders in attendance called it quits. The ‘pack up’ in the inclement weather was quick with all of the stallholders pitchin...g in and helping each other in a great display of support that epitomises the spirit of our community. Already great interest has been shown in the November 28 market. Looking forward to seeing you all on the 4th Saturday in November. See more

We are also really pleased to have the Makers finally able to join our Farmers/ Producers making it a great return to our popular event. ... Please remember to be COVID safe and wear your masks.

05.01.2022 Our next Market Day will be one week early on Saturday, the 19th of December to give our community an opportunity to purchase some great gifts and wonderful food prior to Christmas. We are also trying out a different time making this a Twilight Market from 4.00 to 8.00pm. hopefully getting everyone into the festive spirit. We hope to see both local community and visitors come along and support our Farmers' and Makers' and get some wonderful produce for the festive season.

05.01.2022 Just a reminder that our next Market will be held this coming Saturday, the 22nd of May. We have a great range of Farmers' and Makers' stalls attending so come along and check out the produce on offer.

05.01.2022 The Farmers' and Makers' Market in Paynesville this past weekend was the first occasion that Haraz Coffee Yemen has been part of the local market scene. Turab was especially pleased with his first outing and commented 'it was a great turnover with people exhibiting excellent masking, social distancing and response of people young, old and families starved of social interaction and of course coffee... the swans were tempted too...' Turab is excited about being onsite again at the September 26 market.

02.01.2022 We have a great range of producers booked in for our Farmers' Market tomorrow, the 26th of September, on the Paynesville foreshore. We commence at 8.00am until 12.30pm and hope to see a great turnout. Please remember to wear your masks and you will be required to register your name and phone number as a requirement for us to operate. Our list of stallholders at them moment are: Fran's Jams, Nicholson Coffee and Nuts, Buds and Suds, Donneyville Farm, Johnsonville Fruit Farm, Great Alpine Flowers, Rainbow Creek Pasta, Errinundra Preserves, Fernglen Farms, Succulents, Tarago Cheese, Wally's Honey, Cassilis Estate Wine and Cider, Picnic Point Apples, Hartz Coffee Yemen, Accessories by H, Gippsland Jersey, UC Food to Go Tall Trees and also our Rotary BBQ.

01.01.2022 WE WANT YOU TO ENJOY OUR PASTA AS MUCH WE DO !!! Located in Briagalong at the foothills of the Alpine Ranges, RAINBOW CREEK EGGS is one of the regions finest Free Range Egg and Fresh Egg Pasta producers. At this week’s Paynesville Farmers’ and Makers’ Market Konrad and Belinda were ‘first time’ stallholders and had o offer a range of their sensational ‘fresh egg’ pasta. Whilst not able to sell their eggs due to the market’s policy of not having multiple suppliers of the same produce (in this case eggs), Konrad and Belinda were pleased to have their pasta on sale. Their signature RAINBOW FETTUCCINE attracted a lot of interest and no doubt will grace the plates of many locals moving forward.
