25.01.2022 What do you think I love most about what I do?? You know that you are doing what you were made to do when you finish the week and you just want to keep working and skip the weekend. Or maybe that is super unhealthy?? I am really not sure haha. ... In the marketing world there are a million things that you could love doing. You could love design, writing content, photography, telling stories, writing code, creating great user experience, growing Instagram accounts, doing PR, booking ads, building relationships- there are legit SO many things. I love to get people on my team that know what they love within marketing, as the people who have worked out what they love, generally work to be the best at that area. Which makes for a super awesome team of people who are all the very best at what they do (which equals great results for our clients!) For me personally, within marketing, my favourite area is the strategy. There is nothing I love more than meeting a client and delving deep into what they do, where they want to go and then putting together a strategy that will get them there. I have always been a dreamer, so I love that strategy is all about looking to the future and seeing what is possible and then placing steps around that. 23.01.2022 YOUR MARKETING STRATEGY First things first- before you start any advertising in your business, you need to know who your dream customer is If you are not clear on who it is that you are marketing too, then it is going to be very hard for you to create marketing material (advertisements, social media posts, radio ads, website posts) that will attract your dream customer. ... So this morning, spend some time writing down the things you know about your dream customer. Or the type of person you want to attract. Once you get clear on who your dream customer is- watch your marketing start to really soar as you create content specifically for that person Ps. 23.01.2022 Is this the face you are pulling because of all the talk about TikTok getting banned.... and now you are worried about what happens if you lose your whole audience on any of your social media platforms??? If you are relying on one platform to grow your audience and get all your leads/sales from and you DON'T have a strategy to funnel them to an owned platform, then you are putting your business at a lot of risk. As businesses we don't own our space on TikTok or Facebook o...r Instagram... we just get to rent a space and the landlord can kick us out at any time they want! I have seen huge online businesses with millions of followers get their accounts hacked and then have to start from scratch with a huge drop in income in that time. Or even what I am seeing now is businesses who have blown up on TikTok, but not thinking of how they can leverage their growth on the platform to set themselves up well for the long term. This is what a good funnel strategy looks like: Social Media Platform- Let's go with TikTok for this example Cross promote content onto Instagram (this is your secondary platform) Lead audience to YouTube Encourage audience to Subscribe to email list for exclusive content Nurture audience on your email list So, do you have this set up well for your business??

This past few weeks I have sat down and reminded myself of what I am working towards and how I can make the most of the time I have left in 2020 to get where I want to go. These are some things I have done that might help you: ... Wrote down in a journal the vision of what I am working towards to remind myself. Looked at where I was with my goals and planned out what I need to do each month to achieve them by the end of the year. Set small tasks each month that contribute towards big things I want to do in my business. 18.01.2022 Know who I am here to serve and what I am here to do Over the last year or so I got really clear on who I feel like I am here to serve with my business and how I can best do that. I did some deep inner work, spoke with hundreds of business owners during the hardest year of their business life, let go of others expectations and boxes that I had on me and started forging my own path. ... I started to own who I am and stopped shying away from the parts of me that I had spent a decade trying to tone down and hide. It took a while, but I realised that the parts of me that I felt were too much, was actually my magic. And that this magic was what could really change others lives if I was willing to be vulnerable and share the magic with the world. I feel like I have been operating in this freedom for some time now and I just needed a visual identity that best represented this. 17.01.2022 Have you felt burn out in your business before? When you first started you had such passion and excitement for your business. You were so proud for backing yourself and making your dreams a reality. You lived with anticipation of the adventures that were coming next and the ideas you had buzzing ready to be fulfilled. But somewhere along the way something changed ... At some point on the journey, you started waking up less excited about the day. You found it hard to find inspiration and come up with ideas. You felt like you stopped hitting milestones as often and every task felt draining. At some point, you got burnt out. I just wanted to say, that if this is you, don’t be too hard on yourself or feel like you're the only one. This is super common and more people have been through it then you might realise. The first step is acknowledging where you're at and how you feel and that you're NOT alone in it!! This doesn’t mean you don’t love your business anymore, it just means you get to go on a journey of finding your love and passion for it again and that’s the best part! 15.01.2022 Does your website integrate well with your marketing strategy as a whole?? Is it built on a platform that can evolve with your business as your business grows? Does it tell the story of how you make a difference in the life of your dream customer?... You own your website! It should be the foundation of your marketing strategy in which everything can easily flow from. You can use it to leverage your brand for greater reach, higher exclusivity, increased income, minimised admin work and to attract the people you really want to be working with. If you are fully booked then you want your website to compliment your brand and future-proof your business. I promise you that pretending it doesn't exist is doing your brand more harm then good... When I talk to clients about creating content that aims to attract their dream customer, they often get worried that it will turn away other customers and therefore reduce their potential sales value. 12.01.2022 It was exactly 2 years ago today that my husband and I sat on a rock watching the sun set over this mountain in the middle of nowhere in Oregon. We chatted for hours about our dreams, the type of life we wanted to live and the impact we wanted to leave on the world. It was at this time where I said to him, "one day I am going to own my own marketing agency and I am going to work as hard as I can to help business owners love marketing their business!" ... And now I can't believe I am actually living in that dream.
11.01.2022 When I got clear on who I was here to help, everything changed... Like many of you, 2020 has looked totally different than what I planned. My husband and I were expecting to spend the year road tripping Canada & the States in a van. Once I was able to move past the shock of everything now looking different, I decided I would take some time to re-asses everything in my life (yes I am that person) and work out where I wanted to go. (Yes I am also the person who w...rites lists ) This was the list I wrote of the things that fulfil me Quality people to do life's adventures with (I'm a 93% extrovert, so people are SUPER important!) Incredible food & wine (hello being locked in Tasmania ) Giving back to community (super passionate about empowering the next generation ) Using marketing to help small business owners grow That last dot point took me a little while to work out how I could best help, because my agency wasn't set up to work with small business owners... Even if you are not a retail business that sells gifts, you need to have a strategy coming into the holiday period. Are you gonna run a sale to boost your income at the end of the year? Maybe you need to improve your community reputation and so you might focus on giving back? Maybe you are goin...g to launch a new product or service? Whatever it is, you need to start planning it out. Don't leave it to the last minute and end up doing last minute activities that don't support your business goals. Let's plan it out and smash it!!

09.01.2022 If you know me well you will know I am a bit of a crazy when it comes to goals. If I don't have goals to work towards, then it is hard for me to know why I am doing something. The last few months I have put aside the time in my business to really nut down my business goals and where I want to go over the next 12 months. I have achieved things in my business in the past nearly 12 months that I thought would take me 3+ years to get to, so it has been super fun to allo...w myself to sit down and dream bigger than I have before. I have got big dreams to help more business owners, to make a difference in this world, to become a better human, to be part of empowering the next generation and so much more! 08.01.2022 YOUR MARKETING STRATEGY A huge part of creating your marketing strategy is to set goals. To set goals about increasing your engagement rate or getting x number of people onto your website, you need to first know why you want to work towards these things in the first place. Those goals are good, but those are more measuring KPI's that we use to see if we are getting closer to achieving your dreams.... What I encourage you to do is to paint a picture of your future. Where do you want to be in 3 years, 5 years, 10 years. What do you want your life to look like? What do you want your business to look like? When we know this, then we can work backwards to setting goals for the next 6 months, 3 months and for the next month that will help you take steps towards your dream life. Ps. 07.01.2022 You’ll never be able to make your business work if you keep abandoning ship each time you feel like you’re lost at sea. When in reality, what you need to do is go back to the map This is something I see all the time with business owners. They have a good idea for an offer or product, they launch, the launch doesn’t go the way they expected it to and they don’t hit their goals, and they abandon ship, throw that offer or product in the bin.... When what they really need to do is head back down under deck, pull the map out and have a good deep look at where they were going, who is on the ship with them and what the best route is to get there. Often when things aren’t working out or we aren’t getting where we want to go, it’s because we are too deep in our business that we can no longer see what needs tweaking or what isn’t working. So I encourage you, to take a step back, go back to the map and renavigate your route. Do you need to do this for your business?

05.01.2022 YOUR MARKETING STRATEGY Okay, so let's talk about how creating your marketing strategy helps you get really clear on your branding. Just because you have an amazing logo, doesn't mean you have a strong branding strategy. ... Your branding includes a range of things, but to put it simply, it is how you are presenting your business to every single person that comes across it in any capacity (written, video, photos). When you put together a marketing strategy you actually go through working out a range of things including: Your messaging (tag line, slogans, values, the problem you solve for your dream customer) Your brand personality (tone of voice, brand personality, the language you use and your writing purpose Your brand identity (visual elements including your logo, colours scheme, font and images) All these things together are what creates your brand and they communicate to your dream customers on a regular basis. Then as you are consistent in your branding you stay top of mind with your dream customers and you sell more. Ps. When I was in college and everyone was choosing their careers I honestly just didn’t know what to choose, as all I knew I wanted to do was to help people and build something that was my own. Well, that didn’t align with those quiz things they make you fill out in career class No one could seem to tell me a career path that would fulfil my creativity, sustain my analytical & problem-solving skills and give me endless ...opportunities for growth, challenges and create that dream life I desired. 02.01.2022 This might sound harsh but... These are the top reasons I think your marketing might not be growing your business. 1. You spend all your time just 'selling'... 2. You don't have a clear idea of your strategy 3. Your advertising isn't cohesive 4. You only using organic channels and not investing in any paid marketing 5. You only speak about yourself rather then speak to how you can help your dream customer 6. You are not investing time in creating quality content If these are a bit of a smack in the face... 01.01.2022 Okay let’s chat about Organic vs Paid on social media Organic: These are the free spaces to promote your business where you need to attract people to come hang out on. Eg) The newsfeed or stories. Paid Advertising: This is where you are paying to place ads in front of someone. This is done through the Facebook ads manager. ... So if you are a small business just starting out, how do you know which you are supposed to be doing?? The biggest mistake I see business owners making with their social media, is treating the organic spaces as advertising and then not having any advertising strategy at all. Organic Social Media = Branding Paid Social Media = Advertising So make sure your marketing strategy supports you well in both these areas, as from my experience, the businesses that grow use a perfect combination of both. This is such a big deal for me! I have wanted to do this program for so long. RYLA is an intensive leadership experience for young people aged 18-30 focused on developing your skills as a leader so that you can have a greater impact on community and the world. I am so beyond excited... to meet the other amazing like-minded people and to spend a whole week outside of my comfort zone throwing myself into all the challenges that present during the week. 01.01.2022 We are very quickly coming into the final stretch of 2020. The craziest year of all our lives is finally about to wrap up. I can hear you saying ‘finally’! It’s got me thinking a lot about how we are going to finish this year. Are we going to crawl across the finish line of a year that has been tough for many of us? Or I have been thinking about the alternative. How can I finish this year strong, running across that finish confident that I gave it my all and worked hard t...o serve and achieve my goals? I know it might not be the easy choice. Especially for many of you reading this who are stuck in lockdowns still <3 But I have been challenged lately to do the best with what is in my control. So that’s what I am going to do for the remaining 58 days we have of 2020. 2020 has been nothing like what I planned, but I am going to finish it well. Are you with me?
