25.01.2022 Morning folks, a little light reading for my creative colleagues. Keen to hear your thoughts?

25.01.2022 This afternoon around 1.15pm I'll be chatting with the lovely Kat Davidson on ABC Radio Qld about why the saying "Laughter is the best medicine" only tells half the story. You can tune in here: https://www.abc.net.au/radio/brisbane/live/

25.01.2022 Thank you for your service.

24.01.2022 It's been so nice getting back on stage again making people laugh. This week I'll also be doing mental health presentations for Carers Qld and Qld Police. The gigs are slowly coming back. #mentalhealth #selfcare #suicideprevention #laughteristhebestmedicine

22.01.2022 Can’t wait to get back to work...

21.01.2022 Yesterday was my 23-year anniversary from the first time I walked on stage and did stand up. While the past year or so has been rough for so many reasons, it’s so nice to be back focusing on my career again. It’s also great to see so many of my friends in the entertainment industry back on stage doing their thing. Prior to covid I was averaging 3 4 gigs a week, currently its 3 4 gigs a month but it is increasing which is fantastic. Here’s to making people laugh and helping their mental health, cos I still absolutely love it.

21.01.2022 JOBKEEPER Extension for the Arts / Entertainment and Live Events Industry. PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION. The Arts and Entertainment industry employs close to 200,000 highly skilled Australians and contributes around $15 billion per year to the GDP. The loss of the expanded JobKeeper program at the end of March, will severely impact many in our community. As fellow performers concerned about our colleagues, we want to add our voices to call on the Australian government to extend... JobKeeper ensuring the livelihoods of all in our industry continue to be supported while times are difficult. A petition has been lodged with the House of Representatives in order to ensure Australian artists' interests are protected and their voices are heard. The link below will take you to the parliamentary petition where you will have the opportunity to add your name. (It’s simple and quick.) https://www.aph.gov.au/petition_list?id=EN2395 A couple of pointers: It will require you to look at (open) the Terms and Conditions before your signature will be accepted. And please make sure that you respond to the follow up email asking for confirmation within 8 Hrs. You can be assured that your information will not be stored or shared on any third-party database, nor will you be pestered to sign up to any other causes or asked for donations etc. Feel free to forward this link to family, friends, other interested parties and/or networks. Your swiftest response would be greatly appreciated. Referenced from "Duck For Cover Entertainers Group"

14.01.2022 Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. Early this morning I attended a great community event which supports men through the Marcus Mission initiative. Now we are hearing from world leaders in the suicide prevention sector thanks to AISRAP, who are once again hosting the World Suicide Prevention Day Forum. Lots of learnings to come out of today’s events which I’ll be sharing over the coming weeks.

11.01.2022 Very happy to announce that my appointment as Adjunct Lecturer for AISRAP has been extended for another 2 years. Thank you to the Head of School Professor David Neumann, Senior Lecturer / Program Director Jacinta Hawgood and Research Development Manager Wendy Iverson for your continued support, it's much appreciated.

09.01.2022 Next week I'll be presenting my first Laughter Clinic since March. So much has happened for me personally in the past 4 - 5 months that getting back out there and presenting this is just what I needed. Really, this gig couldn't have come at a better time. The messages will be the same, only now it will also include some new content that relates to the effects of social disruption. Pretty excited to be back out there helping people...

08.01.2022 Working Together To Prevent Suicide

06.01.2022 In the lead up to World Suicide Prevention Day this Thursday, which is also RUOK? Day, this is a very important and relevant message. If you are thinking about asking someone if they are ok (on any day) because you are genuinely concerned about them, it also pays to be informed as to the best way to go about it. Visit http://www.conversationsmatter.com.au for more info.

05.01.2022 So good to back MCing again. What an awesome audience we’ve had tonight. I really do love my job.

05.01.2022 Here are some resources other than Lifeline that you may not be aware of. Please share with anyone you feel may be in need of some help right now.
