19.01.2022 This multilayered Mandala is my first attempt at using a number of different wood stains to create highlighting and contrast for each of the layers. Made up of 6 Layers at a total size of 450mm x 600mm... 5 layers separately stained and stacked with the last, almost white layers on top, being the result of countless hours of very careful sanding to the raw, clean, natural colour always was. And really, no matter what the hours count totals, i definitely think that it was worth the risk and the extra effort....!!! Hope you like it too...

17.01.2022 HOLY COWDALA This was a custom piece for a very dear friend of mine that tragically passed away before I got to finish it for him... Aside from being one of the most beautifully caring souls I have ever had the privilege of knowing,... Mikey (DJ Faya) Williamson had two main loves in life, Spinning tunes to keep us dancing and for reasons known only to Mikey, Cows...!!! YES COWS, With or Without Guns...!!! So when he rang to tell me that he was moving and would need some artwork for his new place, I knew it needed to be something extra special. This was my chance to make him dance...!! Two (very short) weeks later, with the artwork finished and each of the 9 layers ready to cut, I got the call to tell me the heartbreaking news, that Mikey was gone... I can honestly say, had I not been pushed by a couple of good friends who were also very close to Mikey, to actually finish it. I don’t believe I would have ever been able do it.... But with the biggest of thanks to Guy Cunningham and Jonathan Heath, I did finish it, and just moments before she left to catch her flight back to Adelaide, I was able to safely deliver it to Mikey’s Mum, who took it back home with Mikey and his Hat. .He may have never got to see it done, or hanging on his wall, but at least I know it’s as close to him as it can be. Love ya Mate, Life will Never Sound the Same.

15.01.2022 How cool is this little thing...!!! It’s called a TENSEGRITY I cut it out of 3mm clear Acrylic and the tension and supports are just fishing line... ... I’m thinking of going larger scale for a kickarse coffee table...!!!

Business meeting today with the owner of a Handmade Craft Shop in Ringwood, with a view of stocking some of Mandalas and other little Nic-Nak artwork pieces in her shop and online store. With such an important meeting, my beautiful family wanted me to look my best. As such, decided to give me my Father’s Day presents a couple of days early... And needless to say........ 06.01.2022 Damn it...!!! The only thing worse than not noticing tiny water droplets under your dry paint, is watching the explode into paint flakes when a laser beam hits them...!!! Would have been nice otherwise...!!!
