Without Development Permits and the required stage inspections being conducted, the construction industry is facing a MAJOR halt. This has been brought to the attention of Governments in 2014, but due to to incompetence it has been swept under the rug. Now we are in the very realisation that the construction industry could be the Australian Re-session.

So far the Queensland Government has shown a high level of incompetence with regards to Professional Indemnity Insurance required for Private Certifiers to operate. Make no mistake if action is not taken IMMEDIATELY! This could see a catastrophic event that will affect all categories that participate in construction industry, an event that will be most unwelcome in the current ...market. While one solution is to allow exemptions to current policies and allow some parts of the industry to continue, this will fail to fix the underlying problem and will also increase premiums up to 600%.
