25.01.2022 Another transformation with our waterbased system on Tassie Oak. Some of the grain in these boards is stunning.

24.01.2022 It’s the last floor we did for 2020. Absolute beauty, this Jarrah alfresco area looks stunning. We’ve used the hardwax oil to allow for movement and being it will get the weather we will need to do maintenance coats. Happy New Year!

22.01.2022 Please avoid these products. They actually eat away at the coating. Citrus base cleaners, polishes, vinegars and methylated spirits should be avoided, especially on Waterbase systems. This information has come through in my continuing research. A drop of dishwashing detergent in warm water is enough or use the Loba, Fiddes cleaner which I can get for you. Picture below is one to avoid.

22.01.2022 A Christmas miracle. This beautiful textured floor has a white stain and finish.

21.01.2022 A massive thank you to all my clients and friends this year. It’s been a crazy year for everyone and particularly tricky one for small businesses. Thanks for your patience through COVID restrictions and for the handful of customers effected by the email hacking, an extra thank you. Also a huge thank you to my wife for scrolling through endless rules and rule changes during the pandemic. Here are the top 10 floors as calculated by Facebook. I would never choose a favourite. Thanks again from Marquee Timber Floors.

15.01.2022 This one had me scratching my head. The floor changed colour as the sun moved. Finally concluded the timber was Meranti. A softer timber, but some really nice feature throughout.

14.01.2022 It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. We have 2 white floors this week. Firstly the white wash, on Tassie Oak.

08.01.2022 Quick video that shows a complete transformation of our recent floor. It also highlights how different timbers react to the same stain

07.01.2022 Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

04.01.2022 This was the last sand for this floor. You get a shorter lifespan out of softer timbers, but around 40 years for this floor isn’t bad. Luckily they don’t need to worry about what to do next for awhile, this is a commercial strength product which won’t go orange.
