05.01.2022 In the lead up to Reconciliation week, the Year 9E students visited Mrs Hamburg's Year 5/6 class to share about the remote communities they come from. Year 9E students showed maps they had drawn of their different communities including Elliot, Belyuen, Yarralin, Beswick and Warruwi. They also read out some descriptions of the things they do when they are home and what the landscape is like. The Year 5/6 students then interacted with the older students and used the Aboriginal languages map to answer a number of questions about their home languages. It was wonderful to see the interested Primary students asking lots of questions, and how our Indigenous students generously shared about their home communities.
