It marks the day that they shared their ‘I do’s’ and officially committed to each other! This date also holds a special place in my heart. Two years ago, on this day, I conducted my first ever ceremony. I am forever grateful for every couple that I have crossed paths with. 17.01.2022 2020 has been a crazy year for most and I wasn’t exempt from the chaos. In June, Sherman and I welcomed our baby girl, Evelyn, who has been just the sweetest addition to our little family and she and Tristan are the perfect siblings for each other. I am blessed beyond words to see the two of them bond and by far, they will forever be my biggest accomplishments. As I settled into life with two children, my mother conquered breast cancer. She is a strong woman who is not to be ...messed with and not even those nasty cells can slow her down. I am so grateful that I have her in my life and Tristan and Evelyn are able to enjoy more time with their grandma. Whilst this was all happening, Covid-19 poked it’s ugly rear end into our lives and it has been creeping ever since. This brought challenges to both my professional roles. In speech pathology and celebrancy, I’ve had to navigate through newer and more innovative service delivery models to maintain the safety of myself, my family and my clients and keep up with the ever-changing government restrictions while still trying to build and keep the rapport and connection with all my clients. Despite all this, can you guess what was the most challenging aspect of 2020??? Keeping a two year old entertained in isolation!! Haha! I think that means that I’ve got so much to be grateful for and that’s exactly what I feel as I wrap up 2020. Amongst it all, I am most thankful for the health and happiness of those that I love. I am also so appreciative that I’ve had so many opportunities to share in the joy of all those that I’ve married this year. 2020 has been challenging for us all, but I do really feel for those who have had to plan/un-plan/re-plan their celebrations of love. But hey, we’ve come to the end of 2020 now so let’s all see what 2021 has in store for us! Let’s do what this beautiful (inside and out) bride, Lynda, is about to do: own it. That is the look of a woman who is about to rip into her vows. Lets own 2021 and tackle it with all that we have!!! Thanks for all the love and support y’all!!!
