20.01.2022 Reserve Bank Board maintains current policy settings and leaves official cash rate on hold. As had widely been expected, the Reserve Bank Board opted to leave interest rates on hold at its meeting yesterday, with the official cash rate remaining at the historic low of 10 basis points. It said housing values had strengthened further, with prices rising in most markets and credit growth to owner-occupiers had picked up, with strong demand from first-home buyers. ... But in contrast, investor credit growth remains subdued. The central bank repeated earlier warnings that it would continue to monitor trends in housing borrowing carefully and to ensure lending standards were maintained. The Board said it remained committed to maintaining highly supportive monetary conditions until its goals are achieved, with no plans to raise the cash rate until actual inflation is sustainably within the 2 to 3 per cent target range, until 2024 at the earliest. 0413 816 386 [email protected] marshevans.com.au #marshevans #legacysystem #realestate #investment #investmentproperty #wealth #property #retirement #RealEstateInvesting #realestateinvestor #propertyinvestment #propertyinvestor

15.01.2022 Rent yield in Greater Brisbane is currently at record highs, while the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast are outpacing the capital city. Brisbane units are $15 a week higher than the same time last year at $400 a week, while house rents are now at $440 a week. That’s an increase of $30 from one year ago, which represents a 7.3 per cent rise. Queensland has always been a preferred destination for those moving interstate. However, the pandemic has made remote working a possibil...ity and may have fast tracked decisions or made a temporary relocation an option, Dr Powell said. More Australians are deciding to relocate to the sunshine state, with the annual number of residents moving from other states into Queensland hitting the highest level since 2006. Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast rental markets both continued to outperform Brisbane as rents rise at a greater pace . House rents are rising at the steepest pace of annual growth in roughly 15 years. Sunshine Coast house rents have surged $80 above last year and $50 higher on the Gold Coast, to $580 and $560 respectively.
