17.01.2022 All Thank you for your support and kind words. I sent Martin Foley an email explaining everything that has taken place. He responded to me but didnt address the issue of what is to happen with the building. He made an election promise to return the building to the community but we believe this is not happening. We need as much community pressure placed on Martin to follow through on his election promise. If you could take a few minutes to send him an email asking what the plan is for the building. One of our beautiful guests has also started a petition online if you could sign this. [email protected]

When you spend every day working somewhere and love it, it is wonderful to know that your customers feel the same way. The offers of support have been overwhelming and we will certainly do everything we can to bring Mart back to its for glory. 06.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Yarra Trams have advised us they are not planning to commence construction of the building until February/March 2019. With Grand Prix in March, this will be further pushed back until April 2019. We have asked Martin Foley for his assistance to fast track construction but have not heard back from him. This will decimate the Goodwill built up over 12 1/2 years in our business. Martin has also advised us that the government will be paying for the rebuild and fit out... of the building. However, Yarra Trams and PTV have said they will not be doing this. We have asked Martin to help resolve this for us and the ongoing issues with resolving our lease. Would you please help by emailing [email protected] to ask for construction to be fast tracked to October this year and to confirm that the government will be paying for the rebuild and fit out of the building. We are so grateful for your wonderful support.

05.01.2022 Save Mart Dear Mart130 customers we are reaching out as we need your help to rebuild our beloved cafe. It has now been 5 months since the fire that devastated Mart and changed our lives forever. Kate has spent many hours sending emails and meeting with management from Yarra Trams and members of parliament but we a no closer to a resolution. I have been forced to find other work until we are given the go ahead to rebuild. There seems to be a total lack of urgency and a lack o...f care about the effect this has had on our family. Kate was interviewed on the John Faine radio show last week and we are hoping that the community will assist us in in getting things moving. We have been working with the local member for Albert Park who has been helpful but we have had no response from the Transport Minister or her department. If you can sign the attached petition and forward it to anyone else you know who might be willing to help support us. We are forever grateful for your ongoing support and look forward to getting back to doing what we do best! See more
