19.01.2022 What you need to know about the Government's $17.6 billion investment package to support the economy: 1. Businesses can access accelerated depreciation and deductions and immediate write-offs on assets up to $150,000 2. Tax-free payments of up to $25,000 to small to medium employers 3. Wage subsidies for apprentice and trainees up to 50% 4. Tax free payments of $750 to social welfare recipients... None of the items in this package have been legislated. Parliament will sit on March 23.

04.01.2022 Increase luxury car tax for primary producers: The luxury car tax refund available has been increased from a refund of 8/33rds of the LCT paid up to a cap of $3,000 by increasing the cap to $10,000. The Treasury laws Amendment (2019 Measures No. 2) Bill 2019 received Royal Assent on 28 October.
