We do ask that out of respect to our other clients and staff that if you meet the following criteria you reschedule your appointment: -if you have a fever, runny nose, sore throat or shortness of breath OR -if you have been overseas within the last 14 days OR... -if you have been in contact with someone who has had a positive test for COVID -19. We have reviewed our infection control policies and procedures and have implemented extra precautions at this time. 18.01.2022 Are you brushing your teeth correctly? Do you know how long you need to brush your teeth so that you are cleaning them properly? Brushing your teeth daily is a very important aspect of keeping your teeth, gums and mouth healthy. Brushing removes plaque, which is a soft, sticky film that contains millions of bacteria. If plaque isnt removed it builds up and causes tooth decay and gum disease.... You should brush your teeth twice a day - that is, twice in a 24 hour period. Ideally morning and night before bed. You should replace your toothbrush every three to four months, or when the bristles get worn or frayed. Now, the right way to brush your teeth is: 1.Aim the toothbrush at a 45 degree angle towards the gum line - not horizontally facing the teeth. 2.Use a pea-sized amount of toothpaste. 3.Use a gentle circular motion to brush the top and bottom teeth. 4.Repeat this process on the inside surfaces. For the chewing surfaces of your teeth, use a light back and forth motion. 5.Spit out the toothpaste after brushing, but dont rinse. You want the small amount of fluoridated toothpaste to remain in your mouth and on your teeth to further help prevent tooth decay.
