25.01.2022 Mindful Journaling Mindfulness is about cultivating our attention in the present moment without judgement. There are many ways to cultivate our mindfulness outside meditation. Have you tried mindful journaling? Identify a topic, a problem or a recent experience and write about it. Cultivate your mindfulness by maintaining your focus on your writing. When your attention is distracted by your thoughts, send your self some self-compassion and then come back to your journal a...nd return to your thoughts. Journaling can help to ground us back into the present moment. Happy writing everyone. 23.01.2022 Hi everyone, today is WORLD GRATITUDE DAY. Gratitude is a state of thankfulness and appreciation. It is associated with happiness and is both an emotional state and an attitude towards life Dr. Anthony Grant, A. Leigh... To bring attention to gratitude, this week’s posts and stories will focus on cultivating gratitude, starting today with our affirmation of the day. Today’s affirmation: I am grateful for how the sun warms my face in the morning. I feel blessed to see the stars at night. I am thankful for my family and friends, who lift my spirit and nourish my heart." Place your hand over your heart and repeat this affirmation for a minute each day. May this practice increase your wellbeing and happiness. Best wishes, Mary

23.01.2022 Research shows us that expressing gratitude can improve our wellbeing, happiness and our relationships. Want to learn more? ... The Greater Good Science Centre (www.ggig.berkeley.edu): Why it works? the letter affirms positive things in your life it reminds you how others have cared for you research has shown that it can have positive effect that can last up to 6 months there are benefits in simply writing a letter . there are significantly greater benefits when you read it to the other person How to do it? call to mind someone who did something for you for which you are grateful try to pick someone you can contact via video chat or phone in your letter describe why you are grateful to this person and how they have impacted your life when you are with this person, let them know you are grateful to them and that you would like to read the letter to them while you read your letter, pay attention to their reaction and how it makes you feel Please share your thoughts on the video or the this idea in general? I feel courageous and mindful. I pause and feel content with the unknown." Place your hand over your heart and repeat this affirmation for a minute each day. 16.01.2022 Social Media Break Taking a social media break does not need to be announced, but I would like to share my reason. I was reading some articles recently and one that I particularly enjoyed was: https://health.clevelandclinic.org/signs-you-need-to-take-/ It talked about how having a social media break supports us to get a better picture of reality and outlined 8 signs you might need a break:... 1.you can’t stop comparing 2.you start scrolling without realising it 3.you notice you are annoyed by everything you see 4.you freak out if you can’t check it 5.you spend a lot of time scrolling 6.you can’t enjoy whatever you are doing without posting about it first 7.you check it first thing in the morning and last thing at night 8.it isn’t fun For me, I have been noticing that I am scrolling more without my usual mindfulness and I am not enjoying it as I normally would. So I am taking a break from all of my socials until next Monday. Wishing all my beautiful friends a wonderful rest of week. Also, my enthusiasm for my work may mean that I take on too much at once! -coaching, webinars, meditation creation, video development, e-learning, podcasting...lol officially tired! Can you relate? Please share your thoughts. Today’s affirmation: "I honour my boundaries that support me I express my needs and create space for what I desire I love my choices and my feelings are my compass . Mindfully place your hand over your heart and repeat this affirmation for a minute each day. May it support you towards a healthy and balanced life. Mary. .
