22.01.2022 MidValley shopping centre is doing free no symptom Covid 19 test. Today and tomorrow. The more that get tested and download the app, the quicker we can get back to some kind of normal *Edit - see comments for times when testing is Still Available.

21.01.2022 CO-VID 19 update - In light of the current flare ups, I am going to have to tighten my criteria on clients looking for treatment. Unfortunately, I am going to have to ask you to reschedule if -... . You have traveled anywhere West of Baw Baw Shire and mixed with people from there and beyond for long periods of time . You have been to a holiday destination popular with Melbournians, especially if you have been out and about amongst other travellers for long periods of time Exclusion period would be at least two weeks after your exposure. This is for the safety of all including you, my family and other clients (I have rescheduled some clients as I have an unavoidable trip to the Suburbs coming up. It's better a week or two than shutting down completely again) Mandy Massage on the Moo-ve

21.01.2022 On 30/4 and 1/5 I am attempting to walk 100km with a group of 5 other ladies on the Great Aussie Hike from Orbost to Bairnsdale. We are fundraising for Bowel Cancer Australia, a cause close to us. If you think you would like to/be able to help out with a donation, please feel free to use the attached link to our fundraising page.

19.01.2022 Oh No! THIS is why I ask so many questions and have safeguards in place. How many people had a massage after this 'Young Victorian' :(

19.01.2022 Another Massage on the Moo-ve baby arrived last week. How exciting. Another little girl to add to the list. (And we had our own new Grandson arrive a week prior to that ) Babies everywhere, new lives, new adventures

19.01.2022 Unfortunately, as we are still in Lockdown 2.0, and still unpredictable numbers of Covid cases in the Latrobe Valley, massages will not be going ahead until further notice. I will contact everyone to advise when I am back at work. Until then, stay safe, keep active and look after each other. And Stay Home

18.01.2022 PLANTAR FASCIITIS SELF-TREATMENT Regular, gentle stretching of your Achilles tendon and plantar fascia may help to ease your symptoms. This is because most pe...ople with plantar fasciitis have a slight tightness of their Achilles tendon. If this is the case, it tends to pull at the back of your heel and has a knock-on effect of keeping your plantar fascia tight. Also, when you are asleep overnight, your plantar fascia tends to tighten up (which is why it is usually most painful first thing in the morning). The aim of these exercises is to loosen up the tendons and fascia gently above and below your heel. 1. Soleus Stretch With both knees apart and your toes facing forward, lean into the wall until you feel the stretch in your lower calf. Hold for 30 seconds and repeat 3 times. 2. Step Stretch Stand with your toes on a step and your heels off the edge. Slowly lower your heels down, hold for 15 seconds, and then lift your heels to their starting position. You can either do both feet at the same time, or one foot at a time. Repeat five times. 3. Roll Stretch Using a mini roll, roll it back and forth from your toes to your heels. Alternatively you can use a tennis ball or a glass bottle. 4. Plantar Fascia Massage Using two fingers, apply small circular friction to any tight knots or lumps in the plantar fascia. The pressure should be deep, but not so much that you tighten up with pain. 5. Elastic Strap Stretch Sit on the floor with your legs straight in from of you. Take a stretch strap and place it around your toes. Gently pull the strap towards you. Hold for 15-30 seconds, then release. Repeat 3 times. 6. Toe Stretch Place just toes up on the wall with the ball of the foot and heel on the ground. Lean into the wall slowly until stretch is felt. Hold for 30 seconds and repeat 3 times. Can plantar fasciitis be prevented? There are certain things that you can do to try to prevent plantar fasciitis, especially if you have had it before. These include: Regularly changing training shoes used for running or walking Wearing shoes with good cushioning in the heels and good arch support Losing weight if you are overweight Regularly stretching the plantar fascia and Achilles tendon, especially before exercise Avoiding exercising on hard surfaces

17.01.2022 CO-VID 19 UPDATE - Due to the rise in local cases making it difficult to ensure the safety of myself, my clients and our families, I am closing Massage on the Moo-ve again for at least the next 6 weeks, effective immediately. Sorry for any inconvenience. ... Mandy p.s. keep an eye on my page for re-opening details.

17.01.2022 Congratulations to another of my pregnancy clients who had a little boy a few weeks ago. We missed our last couple of appointments due to the lockdown but we worked through the first months. Let's welcome another Massage Baby to the world

16.01.2022 Great news everybody, I am returning to work next week, although with reduced appointments to begin with. There will be some changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. You will be required to sign a Consent to treatment form prior to Every treatment. I have completed the Australian Government Infection Control training and, as such, my Infection Control procedures will be increased. Handwashing and/or sanitising will be done prior to me entering your environment/touching you/your... environment, and I request the same of you. My table will be more thoroughly cleaned and disinfected than ever before, for your safety, and that of every other client. As always, there will be fresh towels for every client which will have been laundered to the appropriate protocols, for your protection. Masks will be available for use by you and me (if required). If you, or your close contacts, are unwell, even 5 minutes prior to your appointment, I request that you PLEASE cancel and reschedule to a later date, after being cleared of any infectious disease. I will cancel your appointment if you fail to complete, or meet the requirements of, the Consent to Treatment form. I will cancel ALL appointments if I, or any of my close contacts become unwell. If any of you become unwell, I request that you be tested to COVID-19 and inform me, whereupon I will cease work immediately and inform all clients whom I have been in contact with after your treatment, and I will also present for testing and not return to work until cleared to do so, at least 14 days after potential exposure. If there is an outbreak in Gippsland, especially the Latrobe Valley, I reserve the right to close my clinic for our protection. I will be working reduced hours to begin with, so please be as patient as you have been over the past months and I will contact those clients who were cancelled at the beginning of this Pandemic to rebook them as a priority, assuming the required criteria is met. I am excited to be coming back to work to assist you with your troubles. Mandy

12.01.2022 Hi all Congratulations to everyone who has been doing the right thing to help us get this Coronavirus under control. We are being rewarded with loosening of restrictions. YAY! But, unfortunately, unless I am in your 'bubble' I am still not able to visit you in your homes to give you a massage. :(... Let's all keep obeying the guidelines so we can get back to more normal sooner rather than later. I hope you are all keeping well and in contact with others, keeping active and hydrated and I will hopefully be able to see you soon. Mandy

11.01.2022 Great info to help when you are wearing your masks ie anytime you leave your home

10.01.2022 Hey everyone, even though restrictions have been eased and people are allowed up to 5 people visit their homes, this does not extend to businesses like massage. There are many things still to be considered like infection control procedures and personal distancing is still not possible in a massage setting. Hang in there for a bit longer. I don't anticipate being back at work at least until June, especially as I have a new grandchild due and we will be on babysitting duties for the older child. I cannot risk your safety or that of my family. I hope you all understand that I am thinking of everybody in this climate and wish everyone well.
