24.01.2022 These hands used to cook a lot of meals, chop a lot of vegetables, beat a lot of eggs, lift a lot of heavy pots and pans day in, day out. They had lots of tiny cuts, calluses, bruises and burns. Comes with the trade. A couple of years ago they had a change.... Nowadays they are used to massage with. They are nice, soft and delicate and feel every little tension they touch. They are my most important tool as a therapist. There are still scars that tells a story. A story of experience and memories. I love my hands and Im proud of what they have done, been through and accomplished. When was the last time you looked at your hands? 20.01.2022 Progressive muscle relaxation. In this relaxation technique, you focus on slowly tensing and then relaxing each muscle group. This can help you focus on the difference between muscle tension and relaxation. You can become more aware of physical sensations. In one method of progressive muscle relaxation, you start by tensing and relaxing the muscles in your toes and progressively working your way up to your neck and head. You can also start with your head and neck and work down to your toes. Tense your muscles for about five seconds and then relax for 30 seconds, and repeat.

You can find free apps and online recordings of calming scenesjust make sure to choose imagery you find soothing and that has personal significance. Guided imagery may help you reinforce a positive vision of yourself, but it can be difficult for those who have intrusive thoughts or find it hard to conjure up mental images.

Do you feel that they belong to your body or do you feel that they are your least favorite body part? 03.01.2022 A is married to B. What do we mean by that? Here is a thought: Most of us think of our body as it only has one side. We spend hours on end just training one side of our body, usually the front ;). Lets call that side A. Then we spend countless hours on treating the back side, B, from pain, soreness and stiffness. But what if we saw the body as a whole instead of A or B. Because one side cant function without the other. It functions as a whole. So if we train it as a whole... then we can also treat it as a whole. When someone is asked whats your favorite body part? The answer if often a specific body part or a muscle group. But what if it was the whole body? Make your answer to be the whole body! At Massage on the run we look at the whole body. All sides are important. We dont see it as a 2D body. We see it as a 3D Body moving in a 3D world. So when you end up having pain, niggles and soreness in your B side we look at what you do and the activities you do. It often turns out to be that the A side has down more work and is now affecting the B side. So knowing that we focus a bit more on the A side before attending the B side. But rest assure we treat the whole body. So we get you to be on all your sides during the treatment. This is the thought process and the methodology and reasoning behind our treatment.
