23.01.2022 Dr Jamie Ranse discussed mass gathering events and coronavirus with ABC 24 yesterday. Some key messages included: - not all events are the same, - event organisers and health authorities should be (and are) having considered conversations to postpone or cancel events, - If events are not postponed or cancelled, individuals should self assess if they should attend events depending on their level of vulnerability.... 20.01.2022 Today, Shirley (Yunjing) Qiu presented her Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) First Class work at the #ACEM19. Shirley was a graduate of the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Griffith University. This work evaluated the impact of the 2018 Commonwealth Games on emergency department presentations, focusing on those patients who presented pre, during or after the 2018 Commonwealth Games with a communicable disease.
