Congratulations to Diane Perndt and Megan Stronach for setting MSTAS records and to our MSV visitors who broke long standing MSV records Michael Daly, 1500 Breast (1999), Nick Bamford, 800 IM (1998), 800 Back (2011) and Rosa Montague, 1500 Fr (2005).

07.01.2022 Summer Championships & COVID-19 Noting that as at midday today there are four reported cases of COVID-19 in Tasmania and all are related to overseas travel, it is reasonable to assess the local risk of COVID-19 infection today as very low. The State Government has not issued any advice regarding restrictions on public events, so the meet will go ahead as planned unless the medical advice changes. As Meet Director of the Summer Championships this weekend, I request that you in...form your members attending the meet of the advice provided by MSA (attached). I will be emphasising this aspect of the advice in my welcome remarks on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning: We ask that you don’t attend swimming events or MSA meetings if you: have been in any of the declared zones in the past two weeks have been in contact with anyone who has been travelling in those zones, or concerned you have been in contact with anyone who has Coronavirus; or you have the slightest sniffle, cold or other flu-like symptoms. Contact Phil Tyrell if you have any particular concerns about the meet.
