14.01.2022 In a decision made by Tennis Australia and the Victorian Government, Victoria will host all of the nation’s major tennis events this Summer in an effort to ensure the safety of the players, as well as an attempt to draw as many of the World’s top players down under for the Australian Open. Tennis Australia will transfer the events usually held in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra and Hobart to Victoria. International players flying into Melbourne will be expected t...o undergo a two-week quarantine. They are then free to travel around the state for competition, with some of the events potentially being held at regional venues. There is now no risk of the Australian Open going ahead without everyone in Victoria and we didn’t have that guarantee previously,’‘ Australian Open tournament director Craig Tiley was quoted as saying. The Australian Open is scheduled to kick off on January 18, 2021.

After saving a pair of match points in a quarterfinal win over Tommy Paul and outlasting Frances Tiafoe in a three-set semifinal, Millman was able to produce his best tennis in the most important moments of th...e final. It is incredible. I am so happy and relieved. I just feel very satisfied. It is just a pure moment of satisfaction That was my third final, third time lucky I guess, said Millman, who was runner-up at Budapest in 2018 and Tokyo last season.
