17.01.2022 Looking forward to a sing. It's been too long.

17.01.2022 Shared from Album Launch Celebration!: "Hello all you dear musical people, Thanks so much for being part of the Launch Celebration on Saturday. I had a ball celebrating with you that this great big multi-faceted project of ours is nearly at an end and is going so well.... One thing I hoped for in the event was to connect with you, to make contact and say "Thank you. Thank you for being a part of this with me and making it happen. Your support, trust, and encouragement made it possible." To take a moment to connect and catch up. Alas, I got to setting up the venue and to soundcheck later than expected so the time for that was cut short. We did get to connect over the singing and all having been a part of this event together. Thank you for that. And again, thank you for being part of the community that makes cultural things like concerts and albums possible. I have been asked what is next in life and musical projects; this year I will be returning to study, studying a Masters of Speech Pathology at Flinders University. Being a student will come first, and how music will fit into my life remains to be seen. I do certainly intend to continue playing and creating, but it may be a matter of years before I am able to begin another big project such as this one. Folk Club/Concert Series and festival-style performances are on the cards. I do have a concert in Melbourne in feasibility-study stages. And *announcement* I am programmed to play at the National Folk Festival this year! All that remains now, from the big, crazy list of promises I made embarking on this project, is to complete and publish the website. It won't be the beautiful work of design that the album's booklet (designed by a dear friend and excellent designer, Kirsten Hill; Thanks Kirsten. Everyone, meet Kirsten *cue applause*) is, but it'll be loaded with interesting stuff. For those who expressed interest in the recipe for the "forgotten cookies", the meringue/biscuit hybrid treats mastered by the event's caterer (Mum. *cue applause*), find it here. I might link to it somewhere on the website, also. Thanks to everyone for your involvement. Thank you everyone who put a chair away, everyone who washed a dish, everyone who took some nibbles to the table. Thanks to those who came to the party from far and wide - we had 3 from Victoria, 1 from Perth, and 2 from China! Thanks to my generous friends that helped on the bar, door and kitchen. Thanks Emma (fiddle), Trent (cello), Ray (sound tech) and Dom (sound tech) for your craftsmanship and artistry on and off stage. And, I forgot to say, Kirsten tells me she has hidden a duck somewhere in the album's booklet. I have yet to find it (and believe me I have tried). Let me know if you see it."
