20.01.2022 Welcome to the team - Nick Thomson Barrister and Solicitor Nick is the newest member of the Matthew Mitchell team, having predominantly practiced in criminal law since his admission. Nick completed a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice, graduating from Flinders University in 2014 after being awarded the Michael Woods & Co. Criminal Practice Shield. In that same year he was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Supreme Court of South Australia. Following a...dmission, Nick worked with Lindy Powell QC as her research assistant allowing him to experience high quality and complex criminal and civil trial and appeal work. He has spent the past four and a half years working in remote, rural and metropolitan jurisdictions spanning most of the State and servicing some of the country’s most vulnerable client bases. Nick regularly appears in the Magistrates Court, District Court and Supreme Court of South Australia on a wide variety of matters ranging from drink driving charges to more serious and complex major indictable matters. Hard working, diligent, reliable and client focused, Nick aims to provide you with the best possible advice and outcomes for your legal issues. Nick is also a member of the Fulham Cricket Club, serving on the committee, captaining the second XI in 2019/20, and has represented the club in disciplinary appeal work.
