25.01.2022 The heavens opened up at Wollongong yesterday seconds after Sarah arrived...but that did not stop their beautiful wedding going ahead..Sarah and little Maddi both fell in love with Steve..and he with them. A beautiful young couple who showed they are prepared to weather any storm that comes along..as long as they are together. (Rain on your wedding day is meant to be good luck!)

24.01.2022 What a great way to view the beautiful new Menangle County Club. Book in now to have a private viewing and book your wedding when the restrictions have lifted.

24.01.2022 Natalie and Michael at Harrington Grove Country Club..a beautiful day for a beautiful couple.

24.01.2022 A lovely thank you card. Thanks Rebecca and Bill.

21.01.2022 A cold and windy day for Baby Anthony's Naming Day at Australian Botanic Gardens, but that did not stop the celebrations. Despite the weather everyone enjoyed themselves.

20.01.2022 I had the pleasure of helping a family say farewell to their Mum last week. It was a lovely surprise to get a lovely box of Chocolates as a thank you.

18.01.2022 I just finished writing a Funeral Ceremony today and once again it bought home to me how precious life is. Take a few minutes to think about your family and friends, and how precious they are in your life. I am sure there are times that you might be mad with them, fed up with them or just not 'feeling the love" that day. However at least you have someone to be mad at or fed up with. So give them a big hug and love them, as you never know when your or their last day is going to be.

18.01.2022 Chanelle and John at Curzon Hall..Wednesday wedding,...their 10th anniversary of their first date.

16.01.2022 Spring is here and love is in the air! 4 Wedding Bookings (one was a rebooking after cancelling due to Covid 19 restrictions) all done yesterday. All Ceremonies are within the next 2 months, as some couples have decided that they want to celebrate their love now and not wait, even if it is only their immediate family that can attend. They have all chosen not to use a venue as such. Instead they will all have an intimate Ceremony in the Park or at the Beach with just those that really matter to them, and a lunch or dinner afterwards. Next year when things go back to normal they MAY renew their vows and have a big celebration, but right now they just want to be Mr and Mrs. It is lovely to be able to help them celebrate their special day.

15.01.2022 Covid 19 changed Danielle and Shane's wedding plans. So they had a little ceremony at home and will have a bigger ceremony next year. A lovely thank you gift for me....Yummy! #Change of plans #Covid19 wedding #MaureenthorpeCelebrant

15.01.2022 Vivien and Servena's beautiful and fun wedding at The Sebel Kiama on Friday.

14.01.2022 Difficult times for everyone and my heart goes out to all my brides and grooms that had planned their wedding day often 18 months in advance. Now they have to p...ostpone and they are not even sure when that will be. However, I have had a number of couples wanting to take advantage of this and get married in 4 or so weeks. Now they do not have to explain to anyone why they did not get an invite to their wedding! So for every dark cloud, there is a silver lining. So if you know anyone that wants an "elopement" style wedding, get them to give me a call. See more

14.01.2022 My second wedding since Covid 19 restrictions really took place...Jessica and Tirua celebrated their wedding today at the Holroyd Function Centre. Love at first... sight..4 years almost to the day they exchanged their wedding vows in front of their family and friends. Thanks for choosing me guys! See more

08.01.2022 Who would have thought that one letter received 12 years ago this week could get me so excited and honoured. I was appointed a Civil Marriage Celebrant by the A.G. My first Wedding was in November and now 12 years on I have had the privilege of marrying hundreds of couples..blessed hundreds of babies..helped say farewell for hundreds of families..as well as renewed many vows..even a few Pet Memorials along the way. Probably over 2000 Ceremonies..and it has been fun, challenging and rewarding every one of those Ceremonies. Thank you every one that asked me to be involved in their special occasion. Xxx

06.01.2022 It was an absolute privilege to help this beautiful family farewell their Mum last week. To receive this lovely card and chocolates made it even more special.

06.01.2022 Covid 19 causes so many issues that we often do not even think of. I did a Funeral recently where we had to wait four weeks from Mum's passing to be able to hold her Ceremony. This was due to family being overseas, and needing to a) get a flight in to Sydney and b) having 2 weeks in quarantine. I was very happy that I was able to help say a fitting farewell to Mum, and the family felt closure at the end. The family were so happy with everything that I received a lovely bottle of Champagne as a thank you, which was lovely.

05.01.2022 Completed my Covid 19 Safety Plan for Weddings and Funerals!

02.01.2022 It shows that you do not have to have a big elaborate wedding to make your day special. Shane and Andrea went all out to make their day special to them. I am sure they would have loved more there but they videoed it, and it was special.

02.01.2022 Despite Social Distancing and Covid19 restrictions Paul and Helen celebrated their wedding today at The Grand Royale at Granville. Interestingly enough they only started planning this day 5 weeks ago! So it goes to show that you can still have a beautiful ceremony despite lack of time and Covid19 Restrictions! Remember you only need to signed your Notice of Intended Marriage One month before you can get married.

02.01.2022 Menangle Country Club in South Western Sydney has reopened after an extensive refurbishment and Select Wedding Services is holding its February wedding showcase there. Vacancies exist in most categories for suppliers to take part so if you would like to showcase your business please let me know. Would love to meet many more local businesses.

02.01.2022 After a few minor hiccups..such as leaving the rings in the car with the best man...who then got held up! We finally held a beautiful wedding..only a few drops of rain..at Macarthur Park in Camden. The beautiful old church rang out the bells as Craig and Lunar exchanged their vows. Craig went to an extraordinary amount of effort to have a lovely lunch catered for...and Lunar to be surrounded by his family and their friends. Family back home in Vietnam watched on via Face Time.and sent their love. Weddings do not need to be expensive..to be beautiful.
