20.01.2022 Have you ever been in a fake taxi? Yes, a fake taxi? Well we certainly have been in one!! We were at a holiday and wanted to get from one place to another in a country we dont know very well, so we hailed a taxi. ... The car was certainly laid out very well and had all the signs and badges and even a taxi meter that counts the mileage and fair as the car traveled. So we got so far away from where we wanted to go and there was patrols on the street where the police were checking the cars on the road. Randomly... The Driver of the car was alerted over the Radio from his base notifying him there was a police patrol on the road where he was heading. We got shocked at how the base knew where we were. And soon figured there was a tracker in the car to tell the owner of the car where the vehicle is. This driver was really stressed and he was scared. He didnt know what to do, as if he got caught with a fake taxi theres a chance they can get locked up. Well thats what we were told anyway... So this guy on a busy road told us to get out of the taxi demanding us to pay before we leave. He was pushing and pushing and telling us to pay. We said were not paying you for something your havent delivered. Being a fake taxi we jumped out and got away from this fellow. We hate for this to happen to anyone and it really sucks to be left without reliable transport and going into tight and squishy public transport in another country.
