23.01.2022 As most of you know Victoria is still in lockdown and everyone has been forced to change up their normal routine with all this Covid sh#t this year! Some wise words from #teammaxs @bodybyroc_official for life in and out of the gym! What has worked for me ? Last week I was on the phone to my sister and brother-in-law and was shocked when I heard them say..... Youve handled this lockdown like a champ, we cant believe your motivation! I havent looked at myself in this time as someone who has handled this like a champ with unresounding motivation .. but I guess not many get to witness the moments of frustration and bouts of sarcastic rage-laughter at the TV But, nonetheless, I have tried to attack my days with structure and routine whether I actually have somewhere/something to do or not. These repeated actions day in and day out, among watching many motivational YouTube videos has helped immensely! Simple things like; jumping straight into the shower when waking up and having breakfast, followed by brushing my teeth and getting dressed... Even though this seems so elementary and simple, just starting your day as your normally would like you were going to work or attending university can be a great way to kick start a day and motivate you onto the next or even a new one at that. MOVEMENT, definitely seems to be the key for many in this time to stay positive or at the least, maintain sanity. I believe this coupled with routine/structure is an effective way to get us through this challenging time and if this fails ... motivational YouTube videos of people I respect and to a degree,.. admire; are a good ass-kicker as well!

20.01.2022 La Familia. Team MAXS fellas got each others backs! This is my bro @aliraza_ifbbpro and he turned pro in July this year @ifbbproleagueoz mid year qualifier. He is now prepping for the @arnoldsportsau where he will make his pro debut. I met this Prince of Pakistan in 2018 as we were waiting to get tanned by @protanaustraliaofficial1 and there was an hour wait in front of us. It was the night before the @ifbbproleagueoz Victorian championships.... Ill never forget we both looked and felt like death and were so drained. Ali sat with me, introduced himself and told me the most amazing story.. his life. If you ever get to know this man like I do you will respect where he has come from and the choices he made to get to Australia. Ive got along with Ali from that day and we are also both @maxsprotein sponsored athletes and have a lot to do with each other through them and through our passion for bodybuilding. 09.01.2022 @roar_pt Try this kneeling straight arm pull down I would call this a bit of a regression from a standing one, as it takes core and legs out of the movement. But In saying that, taking these out of the movement can make it a more efficient movement as it takes all momentum out and puts more isolation on the lats/back. Cues when I teach this... Slight lean forward Ever so slightly bend the elbows you dont want your elbows to go to much into flexion as this can start to use biceps. Or if they go into extension this can start to use triceps. RPT in a nutshell is starting off with your heaviest lift first for low reps, then decreasing weight and increasing reps as the sets go on, for example; Set 1: 4-6 reps Set 2: 6-8 reps Set 3: 8-10 reps Track your lifts, once you hit the highest rep range on each set, increase the weight next week.
