24.01.2022 After a break that was longer than planned the WA Rally Championship got going again and the first round was a short sprint event at Bakers Hill. This was a new format, and proved to be a great start to the championship. I have tested here in the past but there was a lot of rain during the week so the road were very different. The conditions were less than ideal for our Fiesta, and it was a challenge to use all the power that the new motor provided. The fight for the 2WD podi...um was extremely close, and although we managed to be just ahead of Glenn and Jonathan at the midpoint (by 1.5 seconds) they were quicker once the stages were reversed and finished the event 5.3 seconds ahead. After nearly one hour of flat out racing, in two very different cars, to be this close was incredible and I am looking forward to the rest of the year! The work that Bob put into the car during the off-season was well worth it, the Fiesta is much improved since last year and it ran very well both in testing and during the event. It needs a slightly different driving style to use it's potential, and I am still learning it. Thanks to the officials who worked really hard to bring this event to life, and did an excellent job, to Ioana who called the notes even when I tried my best to shake her to bits, to Bob who prepared the car to perfection and to everybody else who made this a great day out! Here is some incar footage from stage 2, where I cut a corner a bit too much and managed to get away with it, Ioana got winded over a jump and I almost ran into one of Tolley's fences. https://youtu.be/LoGssNRBgDM

18.01.2022 Last night we went to the Motorsport Australia state awards dinner to receive our 2WD WA Rally Championship trophies. It was a special year, the fist time that I won a rally with Ioana and the first time that I did not work on my car. Thanks to everybody who made this possible!

16.01.2022 The 2020 WA rally championship has been postponed, with some events possible towards the end of the year, and until then here is some incar from our pre-season test at the (mostly) Tarmac Rallysprint. It was the first run after a few months and we managed to iron out the few bugs that came up during the evening. The Fiesta has a new engine and exhaust, new rear brakes, updated front control arms and runs on race fuel. It is quicker than it was so far and I can't wait to try i...t on gravel. Ioana was not available for this event, so Daymon came back to call the notes. https://youtu.be/CfpKSdX1i7Q

08.01.2022 The Fiesta just got a birthday present!
