21.01.2022 Our alpaca gals are creatures of habit and routine so we were worried how they would respond to our driveway extension project ripping up a corner of THEIR turf. This video captures their first curious moments exploring the half finished driveway

18.01.2022 LAST MINUTE VACANCY TONIGHT due to interstate COVID cancellation! If you can escape today, you'll love the tranquility of our property just over 1 hour from Hobart, cozied up in our beautiful one-bedroom garden apartment with stunning mountain views, surrounded by nature and the cutest tiny wallabies and pademelons bouncing around the gardens at night. Recharge with coffee or hot chocolate at the new Fika Cafe then take the epic road trip to the Styx Valley Giant Tree Reserve and then to Lake Pedder and Gordon Dam. 16.01.2022 Laidback lazy Holly decided that since there were no human servants to hand-feed her on this day, she was happier sitting at the dinner table and couldn't be bothered to get up and gracefully graze . Oh dear Holly, we love your quirkiness

12.01.2022 Mt Wedge is one of many breathtaking walks in our region, with magnificent views of Lake Pedder, Lake Gordon and the surrounding southwest wilderness.

11.01.2022 Whoo hoo...time to set sail! Mainlanders you have been missed and hopefully we'll see you soon. Like the Spirit of Tasmania, we will also waive cancellation fees if border restrictions prevent you from travelling to our property, giving you peace of mind to book.

10.01.2022 A magical walk today amongst the giant trees in the native forest Lady Binney Forest Reserve, Florentine Valley. Just outside of our little town of Maydena, Tasmania. Step after step we were awed by these majestic trees towering through the native forest canopy. I lost count of how many giants there were in this small lush forest corner. https://www.thetreeprojects.com/florentine

02.01.2022 Whoo hoo! The Summit Sunset BBQs are back The Summit at Maydena Bike Park is perched at 1100 meters above the South West Wilderness. With breathtaking 360-degree views of the Styx Valley to the South and Mount Field National park to the North, you are immersed in the vastness of the Tasmanian wilderness.

02.01.2022 We had a very talented 8 year-old artist by the name of Tori staying in one of our cabins the last few days. When she wasn't out with her family exploring the region Tori was keenly feeding or observing the alpacas next to her cabin. She left us this lovely gift when she said goodbye. We were very touched
